Psalms 27 (LBA)
1 De David. L'Eternel est ma lumière et ma délivrance ; De qui aurais-je peur ? L'Eternel est le rempart de ma vie ; De qui aurais-je frayeur ? 2 Quand les méchants marchent contre moi, Pour dévorer ma chair, Mes ennemis et ceux qui me haïssent, Ce sont eux qui bronchent et qui tombent. 3 Si une armée dresse son camp contre moi, Mon cœur ne craindra pas. Si la guerre s'élève contre moi, Même alors mon cœur aura confiance. 4 La chose que j'ai demandée à l'Eternel, Que je désire ardemment, C'est que j'habite dans la maison de l'Eternel, tous les jours de ma vie, Pour contempler la beauté de l'Eternel Et pour visiter soigneusement son palais. 5 Car il me cachera dans son asile au jour du malheur, Il me tiendra caché dans la retraite secrète de son tabernacle, Il m'élèvera sur un rocher. 6 Aussi ma tête s'élèvera au-dessus des ennemis qui m'entourent, Et je sacrifierai dans son tabernacle des sacrifices de réjouissance ; Je chanterai et je psalmodierai à l'Eternel. 7 Ecoute, Eternel, ma voix qui t'appelle, Fais-moi grâce et réponds-moi. 8 Mon cœur me dit de ta part : Cherchez ma face ! Je chercherai ta face, ô Eternel. 9 Ne me cache pas ta face, Ne rejette pas avec colère ton serviteur. Tu as été mon aide ! Ne me repousse pas et ne m'abandonne pas, Dieu de ma délivrance ; 10 Car mon père et ma mère peuvent m'abandonner, Mais l'Eternel me recueillera. 11 Eternel ! enseigne-moi ta voie Et me conduis par un sentier uni A cause de mes ennemis. 12 Ne me livre point au désir de mes adversaires, Car de faux témoins se lèvent contre moi, Et des gens qui ne respirent que violence. 13 Si je ne croyais pas que je verrai la bonté de l'Eternel Sur la terre des vivants... 14 Attends-toi à l'Eternel ! Demeure ferme, Et que ton cœur se fortifie ! Attends-toi à l'Eternel !
