1 Prière. De David. Seigneur, tends l’oreille, réponds-moi ! Car je suis pauvre et déshérité. 2 Garde-moi, car je suis fidèle ! Toi, mon Dieu, sauve-moi, moi qui suis ton serviteur, moi qui mets ma confiance en toi ! 3 Fais-moi grâce, Seigneur ! Car je t’invoque sans cesse. 4 Réjouis-moi, moi, ton serviteur ; vers toi, Seigneur, je m’élève ; 5 car toi, Seigneur, tu es bon, tu pardonnes ; tu es grand par ta fidélité envers tous ceux qui t’invoquent. 6 Seigneur, prête l’oreille à ma prière, sois attentif à mes supplications ! 7 Au jour de ma détresse, je t’invoque, car tu me réponds. 8 Nul n’est comme toi parmi les dieux, Seigneur, et rien ne ressemble à tes œuvres. 9 Toutes les nations que tu as faites viendront se prosterner devant toi, Seigneur, et rendre gloire à ton nom. 10 Car toi, tu es grand et tu fais des choses étonnantes ; toi seul, tu es Dieu. 11 Enseigne-moi ta voie, Seigneur ! Je marcherai par ta loyauté. Unifie mon cœur pour que je craigne ton nom. 12 Je te célébrerai de tout mon cœur, Seigneur, mon Dieu ; je glorifierai toujours ton nom. 13 Car ta fidélité est grande envers moi, et tu me délivres des profondeurs du séjour des morts. 14 O Dieu, des gens arrogants se sont dressés contre moi, une troupe de brutes en veulent à ma vie ; ils ne t’ont pas placé devant eux. 15 Mais toi, Seigneur, tu es un Dieu compatissant et clément, patient et grand par la fidélité et la loyauté ; 16 tourne-toi vers moi et fais-moi grâce, donne-moi ta force, à moi, ton serviteur, et sauve-moi, moi, le fils de ta servante ! 17 Produis un signe en ma faveur ! Que mes ennemis le voient et qu’ils aient honte ! Car c’est toi, Seigneur, qui me secours et qui me consoles.
