1 Phir Ilīhū ne apnī bāt jārī rakhī, 2 “Āp kahte haiṅ, ‘Maiṅ Allāh se zyādā rāstbāz hūṅ.’ Kyā āp yih bāt durust samajhte haiṅ 3 yā yih ki ‘Mujhe kyā fāydā hai, gunāh na karne se mujhe kyā nafā hotā hai?’ 4 Maiṅ āp ko aur sāthī dostoṅ ko is kā jawāb batātā hūṅ. 5 Apnī nigāh āsmān kī taraf uṭhāeṅ, bulandiyoṅ ke bādaloṅ par ġhaur kareṅ. 6 Agar āp ne gunāh kiyā to Allāh ko kyā nuqsān pahuṅchā hai? Go āp se muta'addid jarāym bhī sarzad hue hoṅ tāham wuh muta'assir nahīṅ hogā. 7 Rāstbāz zindagī guzārne se āp use kyā de sakte haiṅ? Āp ke hāthoṅ se Allāh ko kyā hāsil ho saktā hai? Kuchh bhī nahīṅ! 8 Āp ke hamjins insān hī āp kī bedīnī se muta'assir hote haiṅ, aur ādamzād hī āp kī rāstbāzī se fāydā uṭhāte haiṅ. 9 Jab logoṅ par saḳht zulm hotā hai to wuh chīḳhte-chillāte aur baṛoṅ kī ziyādatī ke bāis madad ke lie āwāz dete haiṅ. 10 Lekin koī nahīṅ kahtā, ‘Allāh, merā Ḳhāliq kahāṅ hai? Wuh kahāṅ hai jo rāt ke daurān naġhme atā kartā, 11 jo hameṅ zamīn par chalne wāle jānwaroṅ kī nisbat zyādā tālīm detā, hameṅ parindoṅ se zyādā dānishmand banātā hai?’ 12 Un kī chīḳhoṅ ke bāwujūd Allāh jawāb nahīṅ detā, kyoṅki wuh ghamanḍī aur bure haiṅ. 13 Yaqīnan Allāh aisī bātil fariyād nahīṅ suntā, Qādir-e-mutlaq us par dhyān hī nahīṅ detā. 14 To phir wuh āp par kyoṅ tawajjuh de jab āp dāwā karte haiṅ, ‘Maiṅ use nahīṅ dekh saktā,’ aur ‘Merā muāmalā us ke sāmne hī hai, maiṅ ab tak us kā intazār kar rahā hūṅ’? 15 Wuh āp kī kyoṅ sune jab āp kahte haiṅ, ‘Allāh kā ġhazab kabhī sazā nahīṅ detā, use burāī kī parwā hī nahīṅ’? 16 Jab Ayyūb muṅh kholtā hai to bemānī bāteṅ nikaltī haiṅ. Jo muta'addid alfāz wuh pesh kartā hai wuh ilm se ḳhālī haiṅ.”
