Psalms 25 (MNG)
1 Von David. Zu dir, o HERR, erheb’ ich meine Seele, 2 mein Gott, auf dich vertraue ich: laß mich nicht enttäuscht werden, laß meine Feinde nicht über mich frohlocken! 3 Nein, keiner, der auf dich harrt, wird enttäuscht; enttäuscht wird nur, wer dich treulos verläßt. – 4 Tu mir kund, o HERR, deine Wege, deine Pfade lehre mich! 5 Laß mich wandeln in deiner Wahrheit (vgl. 26,3) und lehre mich, denn du bist der Gott meines Heils: deiner harre ich allezeit. – 6 Gedenke der Erweise deines Erbarmens, o HERR, und daß deine Gnadenverheiße aus der Urzeit stammen; 7 gedenke nicht der Sünden meiner Jugend und meiner Vergehen: nein, nach deiner Gnade gedenke meiner um deiner Güte willen! 8 Gütig und aufrichtig ist der HERR; darum weist er den Sündern den rechten Weg, 9 läßt Bedrückte wandeln in richtiger Weise und lehrt die Dulder seinen Weg. 10 Alle Pfade des HERRN sind Gnade und Treue denen, die seinen Bund und seine Gebote halten. 11 Um deines Namens willen, o HERR, vergib mir meine Schuld, denn sie ist groß! – 12 Wie steht’s mit dem Mann, der den HERRN fürchtet? Dem zeigt er den Weg, den er wählen soll. 13 Er selbst wird wohnen im Glück, und seine Kinder werden das Land besitzen. 14 Freundschaft hält der HERR mit denen, die ihn fürchten, und sein Bund will zur Erkenntnis sie führen. – 15 Meine Augen sind stets auf den HERRN gerichtet, denn er wird meine Füße aus dem Netze ziehn. 16 Wende dich mir zu und sei mir gnädig! Denn einsam bin ich und elend. 17 Die Ängste meines Herzens sind schwer geworden: o führ’ mich heraus aus meinen Nöten! 18 Sieh mein Elend an und mein Ungemach und vergib mir alle meine Sünden! – 19 Sieh meine Feinde an, wie viele ihrer sind und wie sie mich hassen mit frevlem Haß. 20 Behüte meine Seele und rette mich, nicht enttäuscht laß mich werden: ich traue auf dich! 21 Unschuld und Redlichkeit mögen mich behüten, denn ich harre deiner, o HERR! – 22 O Gott, erlöse Israel aus allen seinen Nöten!
