1 Kāsh tū āsmān ko phāṛ kar utar āe, ki pahāṛ tere sāmne thartharāeṅ. 2 Kāsh tū ḍāliyoṅ ko bhaṛkā dene wālī āg yā pānī ko ek dam ubālne wālī ātish kī tarah nāzil ho tāki tere dushman terā nām jān leṅ aur qaumeṅ tere sāmne laraz uṭheṅ! 3 Kyoṅki qadīm zamāne meṅ jab tū ḳhaufnāk aur ġhairmutawaqqe kām kiyā kartā thā to yoṅ hī nāzil huā, aur pahāṛ yoṅ hī tere sāmne kāṅpne lage. 4 Qadīm zamāne se hī kisī ne tere siwā kisī aur Ḳhudā ko na dekhā na sunā hai. Sirf tū hī aisā Ḳhudā hai jo un kī madad kartā hai jo tere intazār meṅ rahte haiṅ. 5 Tū un se miltā hai jo ḳhushī se rāst kām karte, jo terī rāhoṅ par chalte hue tujhe yād karte haiṅ! Afsos, tū ham se nārāz huā, kyoṅki ham shurū se terā gunāh karke tujh se bewafā rahe haiṅ. To phir ham kis tarah bach jāeṅge? 6 Ham sab nāpāk ho gae haiṅ, hamāre tamām nām-nihād rāst kām gande chīthaṛoṅ kī mānind haiṅ. Ham sab pattoṅ kī tarah murjhā gae haiṅ, aur hamāre gunāh hameṅ hawā ke jhoṅkoṅ kī tarah uṛā kar le jā rahe haiṅ. 7 Koī nahīṅ jo terā nām pukāre yā tujh se lipaṭne kī koshish kare. Kyoṅki tū ne apnā chehrā ham se chhupā kar hameṅ hamāre qusūroṅ ke hawāle chhoṛ diyā hai. 8 Ai Rab, tāham tū hī hamārā Bāp, hamārā kumhār hai. Ham sab miṭṭī hī haiṅ jise tere hāth ne tashkīl diyā hai. 9 Ai Rab, had se zyādā ham se nārāz na ho! Hamāre gunāh tujhe hameshā tak yād na raheṅ. Zarā is kā lihāz kar ki ham sab terī qaum haiṅ. 10 Tere muqaddas shahr wīrān ho gae haiṅ, yahāṅ tak ki Siyyūn bhī bayābān hī hai, Yarūshalam wīrān-o-sunsān hai. 11 Hamārā muqaddas aur shāndār ghar jahāṅ hamāre bāpdādā terī satāish karte the nazar-e-ātish ho gayā hai, jo kuchh bhī ham azīz rakhte the wuh khanḍar ban gayā hai. 12 Ai Rab, kyā tū in wāqiyāt ke bāwujūd bhī apne āp ko ham se dūr rakhegā? Kyā tū ḳhāmosh rah kar hameṅ had se zyādā past hone degā?.
