Psalms 17 (BOVCB)
1 Chúa ôi, xin nghe lời cầu nguyện chân thành.Lắng tai nghe tiếng kêu cứu của con.Xin chú ý những lời con cầu khẩn,vì chúng xuất phát từ môi miệng chẳng dối gian. 2 Xin chính Chúa minh oan cho con,vì Ngài luôn xét xử công minh. 3 Dù Chúa dò xét lòng conkhảo hạch con lúc đêm tối,hay thử nghiệm con, Chúa sẽ không tìm thấy gì.Vì con đã quyết định miệng con không phạm tội. 4 Còn hành động của loài người,con nhờ lời Chúa giữ mìnhkhông theo đường lối bạo tàn. 5 Bước chân con bám chặt trên đường Chúa;Con không hề trượt bước. 6 Lạy Đức Chúa Trời,Con cầu khẩn vì biết Ngài sẽ đáp.Xin nghiêng tai nghe tiếng con kêu van. 7 Xin tỏ rõ tình yêu thương cao cả.Lạy Chúa, là Đấng luôn đưa tay hữu che chởcho những người nương náu nơi Ngài thoát khỏi quân thù. 8 Xin bảo vệ con như con ngươi của mắt.Giấu con dưới bóng cánh quyền năng. 9 Cho khỏi tay ác nhân đang đuổi theo,và khỏi tử thù vây quanh. 10 Chúng đã đóng chặt lòng chai đá.Miệng nói lời khoác lác kiêu căng! 11 Con đi đâu cũng gặp bọn hung tàn,mắt sẵn sàng chờ xem con sa ngã. 12 Thật chẳng khác sư tử đói mồi,sư tử tơ phục nơi kín rình mồi. 13 Chúa ôi, xin trỗi dậy, đón và đánh hạ chúng!Dùng gươm giải cứu con khỏi người ác! 14 Lạy Chúa,bằng quyền năng của tay Ngài,hủy diệt những ai mong đợi thế gian này làm phần thưởng họ.Nhưng cho những ai đói trông của cải Ngài được thỏa mãn.Nguyện con cái họ được sung túc,thừa hưởng gia tài của tổ tiên. 15 Về phần con, nhờ công chính, sẽ nhìn thấy Thiên nhan.Khi thức giấc, con sẽ đối mặt với Ngài và được thỏa lòng.
