1 Eu disse:Escutem agora,governantes de Jacóe chefes da casa de Israel:Por acaso não é a vocêsque competeconhecer a justiça? 2 Mas vocês odeiam o beme amam o mal;arrancam a pele do meu povoe a carne de cima dos seus ossos. 3 Vocês comem a carnedo meu povoe lhes arrancam a pele;quebram os seus ossos,e os repartem em pedaçosque vão para a panelae em carne que vaipara o caldeirão. 4 Um dia eles hão de invocaro SENHOR,mas ele não os ouvirá;naquele tempo, esconderá delesa sua face,por causa do mal que praticaram. 5 Assim diz o SENHORa respeito dos profetasque fazem o meu povoandar errantee que clamam: “Paz”,quando têm o que mastigar,mas apregoam guerra santacontra aquelesque não lhes dão nada para comer: 6 “Por isso, vocês terão noitessem visões;vocês terão trevassem adivinhações.O sol se porá sobre os profetas,e o dia se transformará em escuridão. 7 Os videntes serão envergonhados,e os adivinhos serão humilhados.Todos eles colocarão a mãosobre a boca,porque não haverá respostade Deus.” 8 Quanto a mim, estou cheiodo poder do Espírito do SENHOR,cheio de justiça e de força,para declarar a Jacóa sua transgressãoe a Israel, o seu pecado. 9 Escutem agora isto,governantes da casa de Jacóe chefes da casa de Israel,vocês que detestam a justiçae pervertem tudo o que é correto, 10 que edificam Sião com sanguee Jerusalém, com iniquidade. 11 Os seus cabeças dãoas sentenças por suborno,os seus sacerdotes ensinampor interesse,e os seus profetas adivinhampor dinheiro.E ainda se apoiam no SENHOR,dizendo:“Não está o SENHORno meio de nós?Nenhum mal nos sobrevirá.” 12 Portanto, por causa de vocês,Sião será lavrada como um campo,e Jerusalém se tornaráum montão de ruínas,e o monte do templo,numa colina coberta de mato.
