1 Bābal ke dewatā Bel aur Nabū jhuk kar gir gae haiṅ, aur lādū jānwar un ke butoṅ ko uṭhāe phir rahe haiṅ. Tumhāre jo but uṭhāe jā sakte haiṅ thakehāre jānwaroṅ kā bojh ban gae haiṅ. 2 Kyoṅki donoṅ dewatā jhuk kar gir gae haiṅ. Wuh bojh banane se bach na sake, aur ab ḳhud jilāwatanī meṅ jā rahe haiṅ. 3 “Ai Yāqūb ke gharāne, suno! Ai Isrāīl ke gharāne ke bache hue afrād, dhyān do! Māṅ ke peṭ se hī tum mere lie bojh rahe ho, paidāish se pahle hī maiṅ tumheṅ uṭhāe phir rahā hūṅ. 4 Tumhāre būṛhe hone tak maiṅ wuhī rahūṅgā, tumhāre bāl ke safed ho jāne tak tumheṅ uṭhāe phirūṅga. Yih ibtidā se merā hī kām rahā hai, aur āindā bhī maiṅ tujhe uṭhāe phirūṅga, āindā bhī terā sahārā ban kar tujhe bachāe rakhūṅgā. 5 Tum merā muqābalā kis se karoge, mujhe kis ke barābar ṭhahrāoge? Tum merā muwāzanā kis se karoge jo merī mānind ho? 6 Log but banwāne ke lie baṭwe se kasrat kā sonā nikālte aur chāṅdī tarāzū meṅ tolte haiṅ. Phir wuh sunār ko but banāne kā ṭhekā dete haiṅ. Jab taiyār ho jāe to wuh jhuk kar muṅh ke bal us kī pūjā karte haiṅ. 7 Wuh use apne kandhoṅ par rakh kar idhar-udhar lie phirte haiṅ, phir use dubārā us kī jagah par rakh dete haiṅ. Wahāṅ wuh khaṛā rahtā hai aur zarā bhī nahīṅ hiltā. Log chillā kar us se fariyād karte haiṅ, lekin wuh jawāb nahīṅ detā, duāgo ko musībat se nahīṅ bachātā. 8 Ai bewafā logo, is kā ḳhayāl rakho! Mardānagī dikhā kar sanjīdagī se is par dhyān do! 9 Jo kuchh azal se pesh āyā hai use yād rakho. Kyoṅki maiṅ hī Rab hūṅ, aur mere siwā koī aur nahīṅ. Maiṅ hī Rab hūṅ, aur merī mānind koī nahīṅ. 10 Maiṅ ibtidā se anjām kā elān, qadīm zamāne se āne wālī bātoṅ kī peshgoī kartā āyā hūṅ. Ab maiṅ farmātā hūṅ ki merā mansūbā aṭal hai, maiṅ apnī marzī har lihāz se pūrī karūṅga. 11 Mashriq se maiṅ shikārī parindā bulā rahā hūṅ, dūr-darāz mulk se ek aisā ādmī jo merā mansūbā pūrā kare. Dhyān do, jo kuchh maiṅ ne farmāyā wuh takmīl tak pahuṅchāūṅgā, jo mansūbā maiṅ ne bāndhā wuh pūrā karūṅga. 12 Ai ziddī logo jo rāstī se kahīṅ dūr ho, merī suno! 13 Maiṅ apnī rāstī qarīb hī lāyā hūṅ, wuh dūr nahīṅ hai. Merī najāt ke āne meṅ der nahīṅ hogī. Maiṅ Siyyūn ko najāt dūṅgā, Isrāīl ko apnī shān-o-shaukat se nawāzūṅgā.
