1 Loué soit l’Eternel !Oui, qu’il est bon de célébrer |notre Dieu en musiqueet qu’il est agréable |et bienvenu |de le louer. 2 L’Eternel rebâtit |Jérusalem,il y rassemblera |les déportés |du peuple d’Israël. 3 Ceux qui sont abattus, |il les guérit.Il panse leurs blessures ! 4 C’est lui qui détermine |le nombre des étoiles,et, à chacune d’elles, |il donne un nom. 5 Notre Seigneur est grand, |son pouvoir est immense,son savoir-faire est sans limite. 6 L’Eternel soutient les petits,mais il renverse les méchants |et les abaisse jusqu’à terre. 7 Chantez pour l’Eternel |d’un cœur reconnaissant !Célébrez notre Dieu |en jouant de la lyre ! 8 Il couvre les cieux de nuages,prépare la pluie pour la terre,fait germer l’herbe sur les monts. 9 Il donne leur pâture |aux animaux,aux petits du corbeau |que la faim fait crier. 10 La vigueur du cheval |n’est pas ce qui compte à ses yeux,ni la force de l’homme, |ce qu’il agrée. 11 Mais l’Eternel agrée |ceux qui le craignent,et ceux qui comptent |sur son amour. 12 O toi, Jérusalem, |célèbre l’Eternel,loue ton Dieu, ô Sion ! 13 Car il a renforcé |les verrous de tes portes,il a béni tes fils chez toi, 14 il fait régner la paix |sur tout ton territoire,et il te rassasie |de la fleur du froment. 15 A la terre, il envoie ses ordreset promptement court sa parole. 16 Il fait tomber la neige : |on dirait de la laine,et il répand le givre : |on dirait de la cendre. 17 Il lance sa glace en grêlons.Qui peut supporter sa froidure ? 18 Dès qu’il en donne l’ordre, |c’est le dégel.S’il fait souffler son vent, |voici, les eaux ruissellent. 19 C’est lui qui communique |sa parole à Jacobet ses commandements, |ses lois à Israël. 20 Il n’a agi ainsi |pour aucun autre peuple,aussi ses lois |leur restent inconnues. Loué soit l’Eternel !
