1 Chúa Hằng Hữu truyền sứ điệp này cho tôi: 2 “Hỡi con người, hãy hướng về Núi Sê-i-rơ, và nói tiên tri nghịch cùng dân nó: 3 Hãy truyền cho chúng sứ điệp của Chúa Hằng Hữu Chí Cao:Hỡi núi Sê-i-rơ! Ta chống lại ngươi,và Ta sẽ đưa tay nghịch lại ngươiđể tiêu diệt ngươi hoàn toàn. 4 Ta sẽ phá đổ thành phố ngươivà khiến xứ sở ngươi phải hoang vắng điêu tàn.Khi đó, ngươi sẽ biết Ta là Chúa Hằng Hữu. 5 Ngươi đã nộp dân tộc Ít-ra-ên cho bọn đồ tể trong lúc chúng tuyệt vọng chạy đến tị nạn trong xứ ngươi khi Ta hình phạt tội của chúng. 6 Thật như Ta hằng sống, Chúa Hằng Hữu Chí Cao phán, vì ngươi ưa thích máu, nên Ta sẽ cho ngươi tắm trong chính máu của mình. Ngươi chạy đâu cũng không thoát! 7 Ta sẽ làm Núi Sê-i-rơ hoang phế tiêu điều, giết tất cả những ai cố trốn thoát và những ai quay lại. 8 Ta sẽ làm núi của ngươi đầy xác chết. Cả đến các ngọn đồi, các thung lũng, các khe suối đều đầy xác người bị đâm chém. 9 Ta sẽ khiến xứ ngươi điêu tàn mãi mãi. Các thành phố ngươi sẽ không bao giờ được xây cất lại. Khi ấy, ngươi sẽ biết Ta là Chúa Hằng Hữu. 10 Vì ngươi đã nói: Xứ Ít-ra-ên và Giu-đa sẽ thuộc về chúng ta. Chúng ta sẽ chiếm cứ nó. Mặc dù Đấng Hằng Hữu đang ở đó! 11 Vì thế, thật như Ta hằng sống, Chúa Hằng Hữu Chí Cao phán, Ta sẽ báo ứng ngươi bằng cơn giận của chính Ta. Ta sẽ hình phạt ngươi vì tất sự giận dữ, đố kỵ, và lòng ganh ghét của ngươi. Khi Ta đoán phạt ngươi thì người Ít-ra-ên sẽ biết Ta. 12 Chính ngươi cũng sẽ biết Ta, Chúa Hằng Hữu, đã nghe mọi lời ngươi lăng mạ các núi Ít-ra-ên. Ngươi nói rằng: ‘Chúng đã bị tàn phá; chúng sẵn sàng làm mồi ngon cho chúng ta!’ 13 Ngươi tự tôn tự đại phản chống Ta, và Ta đều nghe tất cả! 14 Đây là điều Chúa Hằng Hữu Chí Cao phán: Cả thế giới sẽ vui mừng khi Ta khiến đất nước ngươi bị tàn phá. 15 Ngươi vui mừng về sự tàn phá khủng khiếp của Ít-ra-ên. Nên bây giờ, Ta sẽ đoán phạt các ngươi! Ta sẽ quét sạch, cư dân của Núi Sê-i-rơ cùng tất cả ai sống trong xứ Ê-đôm! Khi ấy, ngươi sẽ biết Ta là Chúa Hằng Hữu.”
