Zechariah 6 (LBA)
1 Et je levai les yeux, et je vis ; et voici quatre chars sortant d'entre les deux montagnes, et les montagnes sont des montagnes d'airain. 2 Au premier char il y avait des chevaux roux, au second char des chevaux noirs, 3 au troisième char des chevaux blancs et au quatrième char des chevaux tachetés de rouge. 4 Et je répondis et je dis à l'ange qui me parlait : Que sont ceux-ci, mon Seigneur ? 5 Et l'ange répondit et me dit : Ce sont les quatre vents des cieux qui viennent de prendre les ordres du Seigneur de toute la terre. 6 Le char, auquel étaient les chevaux noirs sortit vers la terre du septentrion. Les blancs sortirent dans la même direction ; les tachetés sortirent vers la terre du midi. 7 Et les rouges sortirent, et ils demandèrent à aller parcourir la terre, et il leur dit : Allez, parcourez la terre et ils parcoururent la terre. 8 Et il m'appela et me parla, disant : Vois, ceux qui sont partis pour la terre du septentrion ont assouvi ma colère contre la terre du septentrion. 9 La parole de l'Eternel me fut adressée en ces mots : 10 Prends de la main des gens de la déportation, de la main de Cheldaï, de Tobia et de Jédaïa ; tu iras toi-même aujourd'hui, tu iras dans la maison de Josias, fils de Sophonie, chez qui ils sont venus de Babylone, 11 et tu prendras de l'argent et de l'or, et tu feras des couronnes et tu les poseras sur la tête de Jéhosua, fils de Jéhotsadak, le souverain sacrificateur. 12 Et tu lui parleras en ces mots : Ainsi a dit l'Eternel des armées : Voici un homme dont le nom est Germe ; il lèvera en son lieu et bâtira le temple de l'Eternel. 13 C'est lui qui bâtira le temple de l'Eternel, et c'est lui qui portera les insignes de la majesté royale, et il sera assis en dominateur sur son trône et il sera sacrificateur sur son trône, et entre eux deux il y aura un conseil de paix. 14 La couronne restera en souvenir de Chélem, de Tobia, de Jédaïa et de Chen, fils de Sophonie, dans le temple de l'Eternel. 15 Et on viendra de loin travailler à la construction du temple de l'Eternel, et vous saurez que l'Eternel des armées m'a envoyé vers vous. Et cela sera si vous êtes vraiment obéissants à la voix de l'Eternel votre Dieu.
