1 Ammoniyoṅ par fatah ke bād Ifrāīm ke qabīle ke ādmī jamā hue aur Dariyā-e-Yardan ko pār karke Iftāh ke pās āe jo Safon meṅ thā. Aur Rab ne mujhe un par fatah baḳhshī. Ab mujhe batāeṅ ki āp kyoṅ mere pās ā kar mujh par hamlā karnā chāhte haiṅ?” 4 Ifrāīmiyoṅ ne jawāb diyā, “Tum jo Jiliyād meṅ rahte ho bas Ifrāīm aur Manassī ke qabīloṅ se nikle hue bhagoṛe ho.” Tab Iftāh ne Jiliyād ke mardoṅ ko jamā kiyā aur Ifrāīmiyoṅ se laṛ kar unheṅ shikast dī. 5 Phir Jiliyādiyoṅ ne Dariyā-e-Yardan ke kam-gahre maqāmoṅ par qabzā kar liyā.
