1 Dāūd kā yih zabūr us waqt se mutālliq hai jab us ne Filistī bādshāh Abīmalik ke sāmne pāgal banane kā rūp bhar liyā. Yih dekh kar bādshāh ne use bhagā diyā. Chale jāne ke bād Dāūd ne yih gīt gāyā.Har waqt maiṅ Rab kī tamjīd karūṅga, us kī hamd-o-sanā hameshā hī mere hoṅṭoṅ par rahegī. 2 Merī jān Rab par faḳhr karegī. Musībatzadā yih sun kar ḳhush ho jāeṅ. 3 Āo, mere sāth Rab kī tāzīm karo. Āo, ham mil kar us kā nām sarbuland kareṅ. 4 Maiṅ ne Rab ko talāsh kiyā to us ne merī sunī. Jin chīzoṅ se maiṅ dahshat khā rahā thā un sab se us ne mujhe rihāī dī. 5 Jin kī āṅkheṅ us par lagī raheṅ wuh ḳhushī se chamkeṅge, aur un ke muṅh sharmindā nahīṅ hoṅge. 6 Is nāchār ne pukārā to Rab ne us kī sunī, us ne use us kī tamām musībatoṅ se najāt dī. 7 Jo Rab kā ḳhauf māneṅ un ke irdgird us kā farishtā ḳhaimāzan ho kar un ko bachāe rakhtā hai. 8 Rab kī bhalāī kā tajrabā karo. Mubārak hai wuh jo us meṅ panāh le. 9 Ai Rab ke muqaddasīn, us kā ḳhauf māno, kyoṅki jo us kā ḳhauf māneṅ unheṅ kamī nahīṅ. 10 Jawān sherbabar kabhī zarūratmand aur bhūke hote haiṅ, lekin Rab ke tāliboṅ ko kisī bhī achchhī chīz kī kamī nahīṅ hogī. 11 Ai bachcho, āo, merī bāteṅ suno! Maiṅ tumheṅ Rab ke ḳhauf kī tālīm dūṅgā. 12 Kaun maze se zindagī guzārnā aur achchhe din deḳhnā chāhtā hai? 13 Wuh apnī zabān ko sharīr bāteṅ karne se roke aur apne hoṅṭoṅ ko jhūṭ bolne se. 14 Wuh burāī se muṅh pher kar nek kām kare, sulah-salāmatī kā tālib ho kar us ke pīchhe lagā rahe. 15 Rab kī āṅkheṅ rāstbāzoṅ par lagī rahtī haiṅ, aur us ke kān un kī iltijāoṅ kī taraf māyl haiṅ. 16 Lekin Rab kā chehrā un ke ḳhilāf hai jo ġhalat kām karte haiṅ. Un kā zamīn par nām-o-nishān tak nahīṅ rahegā. 17 Jab rāstbāz fariyād kareṅ to Rab un kī suntā, wuh unheṅ un kī tamām musībat se chhuṭkārā detā hai. 18 Rab shikastādiloṅ ke qarīb hotā hai, wuh unheṅ rihāī detā hai jin kī rūh ko ḳhāk meṅ kuchlā gayā ho. 19 Rāstbāz kī muta'addid takālīf hotī haiṅ, lekin Rab use un sab se bachā letā hai. 20 Wuh us kī tamām haḍḍiyoṅ kī hifāzat kartā hai, ek bhī nahīṅ toṛī jāegī. 21 Burāī bedīn ko mār ḍālegī, aur jo rāstbāz se nafrat kare use munāsib ajr milegā. 22 Lekin Rab apne ḳhādimoṅ kī jān kā fidyā degā. Jo bhī us meṅ panāh le use sazā nahīṅ milegī.
