Isaiah 50 (AS21)
1 Assim diz o SENHOR: Onde está a carta de divórcio de vossa mãe, pela qual eu a rejeitei? Quem é o meu credor? A quem eu vos vendi? Foi por vossas maldades que fostes vendidos, e por vossas transgressões vossa mãe foi rejeitada. 2 Por que ninguém apareceu quando eu vim e, quando chamei, não houve quem respondesse? Por acaso a minha mão se encolheu a ponto de não poder redimir? Não tenho eu poder para livrar? Eu faço secar o mar com a minha repreensão e transformo os rios em deserto; os seus peixes cheiram mal, pois não há água, e eles morrem de sede. 3 Eu visto os céus de escuridão e lhes dou pano de saco como roupa. 4 O SENHOR Deus deu-me a língua dos instruídos para que eu saiba o que dizer ao que está cansado; ele me desperta todas as manhãs; desperta-me o ouvido para que eu ouça como discípulo. 5 O SENHOR Deus abriu-me os ouvidos, e eu não fui rebelde, nem me afastei. 6 Ofereci as minhas costas aos que me feriam, e a minha face, aos que me arrancavam a barba; não escondi o rosto dos que me afrontavam e me cuspiam. 7 Pois o SENHOR Deus me ajuda; portanto, não fico envergonhado; por isso o meu rosto está firme como uma pedra, e sei que não serei envergonhado. 8 Aquele que me defende está perto; quem contenderá comigo? Apresentemo-nos juntos; quem é meu adversário? Aproxime-se. 9 O SENHOR Deus é quem me ajuda! Quem me condenará? Todos eles envelhecerão como se fossem roupa, e a traça os comerá. 10 Quem de vós teme o SENHOR? Que ele ouça a voz do seu servo. Aquele que anda em trevas e não tem luz confie no nome do SENHOR e firme-se sobre o seu Deus. 11 Todos vós, que acendeis fogo e vos armais com tochas acesas, andai entre as labaredas do vosso fogo e entre as tochas que acendestes! Isso virá sobre vós de minha parte, e vos deitareis atormentados.
