Leviticus 17 (LBA)
1 Et l'Eternel parla à Moïse en disant : 2 Parle à Aaron, à ses fils et à tous les fils d'Israël et dis-leur : Voici ce que l'Eternel a commandé : 3 Tout homme de la maison d'Israël qui égorge un bœuf, un agneau ou une chèvre dans le camp ou hors du camp, 4 et qui ne l'amène pas à l'entrée de la Tente d'assignation pour le présenter en offrande à l'Eternel, devant le sanctuaire de l'Eternel, ce sang lui sera imputé : il a répandu du sang ; cet homme-là sera retranché du milieu de son peuple. 5 C'est afin que les fils d'Israël amènent leurs sacrifices qu'ils immolent dans la campagne, qu'ils les amènent au sacrificateur devant l'Eternel, à l'entrée de la Tente d'assignation, et qu'ils les offrent en sacrifice d'actions de grâces à l'Eternel. 6 Le sacrificateur répandra le sang sur l'autel de l'Eternel, à l'entrée de la Tente d'assignation, et il fera fumer la graisse en agréable odeur pour l'Eternel. 7 Ils n'offriront plus leurs sacrifices aux satyres avec lesquels ils se prostituent ; ceci sera pour eux une ordonnance perpétuelle de génération en génération. 8 Tu leur diras : Tout homme de la maison d'Israël ou des étrangers séjournant au milieu d'eux, qui offrira un holocauste ou un sacrifice 9 et ne l'amènera pas à l'entrée de la Tente d'assignation pour le sacrifier à l'Eternel, cet homme-là sera retranché du milieu de son peuple. 10 Tout homme de la maison d'Israël ou des étrangers séjournant au milieu d'eux qui mangera de quelque sang que ce soit, je tournerai ma face contre la personne qui mange le sang, et je la retrancherai du milieu de son peuple ; 11 car l'âme de la chair est dans le sang. Et moi je vous l'ai donné en vue de l'autel pour faire propitiation pour vos âmes ; car le sang, c'est lui qui fait propitiation par l'âme. 12 C'est pourquoi j'ai dit aux fils d'Israël : Personne d'entre vous ne mangera du sang, et l'étranger qui séjourne au milieu de vous ne mangera pas de sang. 13 Tout homme des fils d'Israël ou des étrangers séjournant au milieu d'eux qui prend à la chasse un animal ou un oiseau qui se mange, il en versera le sang et le couvrira de terre ; 14 car l'âme de toute chair, c'est son sang, par l'âme qui est en lui ; et j'ai dit aux fils d'Israël : Vous ne mangerez le sang d'aucune chair, car l'âme de toute chair c'est son sang ; quiconque en mangera sera retranché. 15 Et toute personne née au pays ou étrangère, qui mangera d'une bête morte ou déchirée lavera ses vêtements, se baignera dans l'eau, et sera souillée jusqu'au soir ; puis elle sera pure. 16 Et si elle ne lave pas ses vêtements et ne baigne pas son corps, elle portera son iniquité.
