Psalms 102 (NBS)
1 Prière. D’un pauvre, lorsqu’il défaille et qu’il répand sa requête devant le Seigneur. 2 Seigneur, entends ma prière, et que mes appels au secours parviennent jusqu’à toi ! 3 Ne te détourne pas de moi au jour de ma détresse ! Tends vers moi ton oreille au jour où je crie ! Réponds-moi vite ! 4 Car mes jours s’évanouissent en fumée, mes os sont brûlants comme de la braise. 5 Mon cœur est frappé, et se dessèche comme l’herbe ; j’en oublie de manger. 6 Mes gémissements sont tels que mes os s’attachent à ma chair. 7 Je ressemble au pélican du désert, je suis comme le chat-huant des ruines ; 8 je veille, et je suis comme l’oiseau solitaire sur un toit. 9 Mes ennemis m’outragent sans cesse, mes adversaires furieux me prennent à témoin de leurs serments. 10 Je mange de la cendre comme du pain, je mêle mes larmes à ce que je bois, 11 à cause de ta fureur et de ta colère, car tu m’as soulevé et jeté au loin. 12 Mes jours sont comme l’ombre qui s’allonge, et je me dessèche comme l’herbe. 13 Mais toi, Seigneur, tu es installé pour toujours, on évoque ton nom de génération en génération. 14 Tu te lèveras, tu auras compassion de Sion ; car c’est le moment de lui faire grâce, le temps fixé est arrivé ; 15 car nous, tes serviteurs, nous nous plaisons à ses pierres, nous prenons en pitié sa poussière. 16 Alors les nations craindront le nom du Seigneur, et tous les rois de la terre ta gloire. 17 Car le Seigneur rebâtit Sion, il apparaît dans sa gloire. 18 Il se tourne vers la prière du misérable, il ne méprise pas sa prière. 19 Que cela soit écrit pour la génération future, et le peuple qui sera créé louera le Seigneur (Yah) ! 20 Car il se penche de son haut sanctuaire ; du ciel le Seigneur regarde sur la terre 21 pour entendre les soupirs du prisonnier, pour délivrer ceux qui sont en danger de mort, 22 afin qu’ils parlent, dans Sion, du nom du Seigneur et qu’ils disent sa louange dans Jérusalem, 23 quand peuples et royaumes se réuniront pour servir le Seigneur. 24 Il a fait fléchir ma force en chemin, il a abrégé mes jours. 25 Je dis : Mon Dieu, ne m’enlève pas au milieu de mes jours, toi, dont les années durent de génération en génération ! 26 Autrefois tu as fondé la terre, et le ciel est l’œuvre de tes mains. 27 Eux, ils disparaîtront, mais toi, tu subsisteras ; ils s’useront tous comme un vêtement ; tu les changeras comme un habit, et ils seront changés. 28 Mais toi, c’est toi : tes années ne finiront pas. 29 Les fils de tes serviteurs auront une demeure, et leur descendance s’affermira devant toi.
