1 Timothy 2 (TFTIP)

1 A primeira coisa (OU, coisa mais importante) que mando você comunicar à sua congregação é que os cristãos devem pedir continuamente a Deus aquilo que necessitam, e que devem orar a Deus em favor de todas as outras pessoas e dar graças a Deus. 2 Especificamente, eles devem orar pelos governantes e todos os outros que ocupam posições importantes no governo, para que Deus ajude-os a governar. À medida que Deus os capacita para fazer isso, podemos viver em paz ao praticarmos aquilo que é certo e apropriado na opinião de Deus e dos outros. 3 É bom nós fazermos isso e é da vontade de Deus, que nos salva, quando assim procedemos. 4 Ele deseja salvar todos os que conhecem de verdade e aceitam plenamente a verdadeira mensagem dele. 5 Ele é o único e verdadeiro Deus! E há somente uma pessoa que fala com Deus em favor dos seres humanos. Essa pessoa é Cristo Jesus, Ele mesmo é um homem! 6 Ele entregou sua vida como sacrifício para redimir todas as pessoas, o que comprovou na hora certa que Deus deseja que todas as pessoas sejam salvas {quer salvar todas as pessoas}. 7 E Ele me nomeou para declarar esta mensagem e para ser um apóstolo. Eu digo a verdade sobre o fato de Deus me nomear. Não estou mentindo! Ele me designou para ensinar aos não judeus que eles devem crer na verdadeira mensagem de Deus. 8 Eu desejo que, por toda parte onde os cristãos se congregam para adorar a Deus, os homens que oram em voz alta [MTY] sejam pessoas que não praticam o pecado. Ao orarem, eles não devem estar irados contra ninguém e não devem duvidar de que Deus responderá (OU, não devem brigar). 9 Eu gostaria que as roupas vestidas pelas mulheres fossem modestas e sensatas [DOU]. Prefiro que elas não arrumem os cabelos de uma forma excitante, nem usem enfeites de ouro, nem pérolas, nem roupas caras para se tornarem mais atraentes. 10 Pelo contrário, elas devem proceder como procedem as mulheres que alegam adorar a Deus; ou seja, elas devem praticar boas obras. 11 As mulheres devem aprender a escutar calmamente durante os cultos de adoração, submetendo-se plenamente ao governo dos líderes da congregação. 12 Não permito que as mulheres ensinem verdades espirituais aos homens em público, nem que dominem os homens. Ao invés disso, desejo que as mulheres escutem calmamente durante os cultos de adoração, 13 pois Adão foi feito {Deus fez Adão} primeiro e depois Eva, 14 e não foi Adão o enganado {a quem Satanás enganou}. A mulher pecou; ela fez o que Deus mandou não fazer, como resultado de ser enganada {de Satanás tê-la enganado}. 15 Embora ela tenha feito isso, as mulheres serão salvas/aceitas {Deus salvará/aceitará as mulheres} agora ao darem à luz, se continuarem confiando em Deus, amando seus semelhantes e se continuarem vivendo de uma maneira cada vez mais aceitável a Deus, mantendo-se sempre modestas.
