1 “Ang mga taga-Israel nagasalig sa mga butang nga walay pulos. Sa tibuok adlaw nagatinguha sila sa mga butang nga makadaot. Misamot sila ka bakakon ug kabangis. Naghimo sila ug kasabotan uban sa Asiria ug nagapadala ug lana sa Ehipto.” 2 Miingon si Hosea, “May akusasyon ang GINOO batok sa mga taga-Juda nga mga kaliwat usab ni Jacob. Ug sa dihang midako na siya, nakiglayog siya sa Dios 4 pinaagi sa pagpakiglayog sa usa ka anghel, ug midaog siya. Naghilak siya nga mihangyo nga panalanginan sa anghel. Nakita niya ang Dios sa Betel, ug didto nakigsulti kaniya ang Dios. 5 Siya ang GINOONG Dios nga Makagagahom; GINOO ang iyang bantogan nga ngalan. 6 “Busa balik na kamo sa inyong Dios, mga kaliwat ni Jacob, ug patunhaya ninyo ang gugma ug hustisya. Ug salig kamo sa inyong Dios kanunay.” 7 Miingon ang Ginoo sa mga taga-Israel, “Gusto kaayong manglimbong ang inyong mga negosyante; naggamit sila ug mga timbangan nga limbongan. 8 Manghambog pa kamo nga nakatigom kamo ug bahandi alang sa inyong kaugalingon ug labihan na kamo ka adunahan. Mapasigarbohon usab kamong moingon nga walay makaakusar nga naangkon ninyo ang inyong bahandi sa daotang paagi, ug nga wala kamoy nahimong sala. 9 Busa ako, ang GINOO nga inyong Dios, nga nagpagawas kaninyo gikan sa Ehipto, papuy-on ko kamo pag-usab sa mga tolda, sama sa ginahimo ninyo sa panahon sa Pista sa Pagpatindog sa mga Payag. 10 “Nakigsulti ako sa mga propeta ug gihatagan ko sila sa daghang mga panan-awon.
