Titus 2 (ELBE)
1 Du aber rede, was sich der gesunden Lehre gehört: 2 dass die alten Männer nüchtern seien, würdig, besonnen, gesund im Glauben, in der Liebe, im Ausharren; 3 die alten Frauen desgleichen in ihrem Betragen, wie es sich für den heiligen Stand gehört, nicht verleumderisch, nicht Sklavinnen von vielem Wein, Lehrerinnen des Guten; 4 damit sie die jungen Frauen unterweisen, ihre Männer zu lieben, ihre Kinder zu lieben, 5 besonnen, keusch, mit häuslichen Arbeiten beschäftigt, gütig, den eigenen Männern unterwürfig zu sein, damit das Wort Gottes nicht verlästert werde. 6 Die Jünglinge desgleichen ermahne, besonnen zu sein, 7 indem du in allem dich selbst als ein Vorbild guter Werke darstellst; in der Lehre Unverdorbenheit, würdigen Ernst, 8 gesunde, nicht zu verurteilende Rede, damit der von der Gegenpartei sich schäme, indem er nichts Schlechtes über uns zu sagen hat. 9 Die Knechte ermahne, ihren eigenen Herren unterwürfig zu sein, in allem sich wohlgefällig zu machen, nicht widersprechend, 10 nichts unterschlagend, sondern alle gute Treue erweisend, damit sie die Lehre, die unseres Heiland-Gottes ist, zieren in allem. 11 Denn die Gnade Gottes ist erschienen, heilbringend für alle Menschen, 12 und unterweist uns, damit wir, die Gottlosigkeit und die weltlichen Lüste verleugnend, besonnen und gerecht und gottselig leben in dem jetzigen Zeitlauf, 13 indem wir erwarten die glückselige Hoffnung und Erscheinung der Herrlichkeit unseres großen Gottes und Heilandes Jesus Christus, 14 der sich selbst für uns gegeben hat, damit er uns loskaufte von aller Gesetzlosigkeit und reinigte sich selbst ein Eigentumsvolk, eifrig in guten Werken. 15 Dieses rede und ermahne und überführe mit aller Machtvollkommenheit. Lass dich niemand verachten!
