Psalms 50 (LBA)
1 Psaume d'Asaph. Dieu, le Dieu redoutable, l'Eternel parle ; Il convoque la terre, Depuis le soleil levant jusqu'au soleil couchant. 2 De Sion, parfaite en beauté, Dieu resplendit. 3 Il vient, notre Dieu, et il ne gardera pas le silence. Devant lui est un feu dévorant, Autour de lui une violente tempête. 4 Il crie vers les cieux en haut Et vers la terre, pour juger son peuple. 5 Assemblez-moi mes fidèles, Qui ont fait alliance avec moi par le sacrifice. 6 Et les cieux proclament sa justice, Car c'est Dieu lui-même qui vient juger. (Jeu d'instruments.) 7 Ecoute, mon peuple, et je parlerai, Et je t'avertirai, ô Israël ! Je suis Dieu, ton Dieu ! 8 Ce n'est pas pour tes sacrifices que j'ai à te reprendre ; Tes holocaustes sont devant moi toujours. 9 Je ne prendrai ni taureau dans ta maison, Ni boucs dans ta bergerie. 10 Car à moi sont tous les animaux des forêts, Toutes les bêtes des montagnes, par milliers. 11 Je connais tous les oiseaux des montagnes, Et tout ce qui se meut dans les champs m'appartient. 12 Si j'avais faim, je ne t'en dirais rien, Car c'est à moi qu'est le monde, et tout ce qu'il renferme. 13 Est-ce que je mangerais la chair des taureaux gras ? Et le sang des boucs, le boirais-je ? 14 Offre à Dieu la louange en sacrifice Et accomplis tes vœux envers le Très-Haut, 15 Et invoque-moi au jour de ta détresse ; Je te délivrerai, et tu me glorifieras. 16 Quant au méchant, Dieu lui dit : Est-ce à toi d'énumérer mes commandements Et d'avoir mon alliance en ta bouche, 17 Toi qui hais la répréhension Et qui jettes mes paroles derrière toi ! 18 Si tu vois un voleur, tu te plais avec lui, Et ta part est avec les adultères. 19 Tu livres ta bouche au mal, Et ta langue ne fait que tramer la fraude. 20 Tu t'assieds, et tu parles contre ton frère ; Tu jettes le déshonneur contre le fils de ta mère. 21 Voilà ce que tu as fait, et je me suis tu : Tu as cru que j'étais comme toi. Je vais te reprendre, et tout mettre sous tes yeux. 22 Prenez-y donc garde, vous qui oubliez Dieu, De peur que je ne déchire, sans que personne délivre ! 23 Celui qui pour sacrifice offre la louange me glorifie, Et il trace un chemin Sur lequel je lui ferai voir le salut de Dieu.
