1 Cuando vayas al Templo de ʼELOHIM cuida tu pie.Acércate para escuchar más bien que para ofrecer el sacrificio de los necios,Porque no saben que hacen mal. 2 No te apresures con tu boca.Ni se apremie tu corazón a expresar palabra ante ʼELOHIM,Porque ʼELOHIM está en el cielo y tú en la tierra.Por tanto, sean pocas tus palabras. 3 Porque el soñar viene a causa de la mucha ocupación,Y la voz del necio por medio de muchas palabras. 4 Cuando hagas un voto a ʼELOHIM no tardes en cumplirlo,Porque Él no se complace en los necios.Cumple lo que prometes. 5 Mejor es que no prometas,Y no que prometas y no cumplas. 6 No dejes que tu boca te haga pecar,Ni digas delante del Ángel que fue ignorancia.¿Por qué harás que ʼELOHIM se enoje a causa de tus palabrasY destruya la obra de tus manos? 7 Porque donde abundan los sueños también abundan las vanidades.Pero tú, teme a ʼELOHIM. 8 Si ves opresión a los pobres, violación del juicio y la justicia en la provincia,No te maravilles a causa de esto,Porque sobre el alto vigila el más alto.Hay Alguien más alto que ellos. 9 Además el provecho de la tierra es para todos.Para el mismo rey que cultiva el campo la tierra es una ventaja. 10 El que ama la plata nunca se saciará de la plata,Ni el que ama la riqueza con la ganancia.Esto también es vanidad. 11 Cuando aumentan los bienesTambién aumentan los que los consumen.¿Qué provecho tendrá su dueñoAparte de verlos con sus propios ojos? 12 Coma poco o coma mucho,Dulce es el sueño del trabajador.Pero la abundanciaNo deja dormir al rico. 13 Vi un grave mal bajo el sol:Riqueza guardada por su dueñoPara su propio perjuicio. 14 Pues se pierde esa riqueza en negocios infortunados,Y si engendra un hijo,Nada le queda para sostenerlo. 15 Desnudo,Como salió del vientre de su madre,Así se irá.Nada de su duro trabajo podrá llevar en su mano. 16 Y éste también es un mal grave:Que como vino se va.¿Y qué provecho tieneEl que se esfuerza tras el viento? 17 Ya que todos sus días comió en oscuridad,Con gran tristeza, con enfermedad e ira. 18 Este es el bien que vi:Que es bueno y adecuadoQue uno coma y beba,Y disfrute del bien de todo el trabajo,En el cual labora bajo el solTodos los días de su vida que ʼELOHIM le da,Porque ésta es su recompensa. 19 Además, todo hombre a quien ʼELOHIM da riquezas y posesiones,Lo capacita para que las disfrute,Tome la parte que le correspondeY se regocije en su trabajo.Esto es el don de ʼELOHIM. 20 Porque no se acordará mucho de los días de su vida,Pues ʼELOHIM lo tiene ocupadoCon la alegría de su corazón.
