1 Hikmat ne apnā ghar tāmīr karke apne lie sāt satūn tarāsh lie haiṅ. 2 Apne jānwaroṅ ko zabah karne aur apnī mai taiyār karne ke bād us ne apnī mez bichhāī hai. 3 Ab us ne apnī naukarāniyoṅ ko bhejā hai, aur ḳhud bhī logoṅ ko shahr kī bulandiyoṅ se ziyāfat karne kī dāwat detī hai, 4 “Jo sādālauh hai, wuh mere pās āe.” Nāsamajh logoṅ se wuh kahtī hai, 5 “Āo, merī roṭī khāo, wuh mai piyo jo maiṅ ne taiyār kar rakhī hai. 6 Apnī sādālauh rāhoṅ se bāz āo to jīte rahoge, samajh kī rāh par chal paṛo.” 7 Jo lān-tān karne wāle ko tālīm de us kī apnī ruswāī ho jāegī, aur jo bedīn ko ḍānṭe use nuqsān pahuṅchegā. 8 Lān-tān karne wāle kī malāmat na kar warnā wuh tujh se nafrat karegā. Dānishmand kī malāmat kar to wuh tujh se muhabbat karegā. 9 Dānishmand ko hidāyat de to us kī hikmat mazīd baṛhegī, rāstbāz ko tālīm de to wuh apne ilm meṅ izāfā karegā. 10 Rab kā ḳhauf mānane se hī hikmat shurū hotī hai, quddūs Ḳhudā ko jānane se hī samajh hāsil hotī hai. 11 Mujh se hī terī umr ke dinoṅ aur sāloṅ meṅ izāfā hogā. 12 Agar tū dānishmand ho to ḳhud is se fāydā uṭhāegā, agar lān-tān karne wālā ho to tujhe hī is kā nuqsān jhelnā paṛegā. 13 Hamāqat bībī belagām aur nāsamajh hai, wuh kuchh nahīṅ jāntī. 14 Us kā ghar shahr kī bulandī par wāqe hai. Darwāze ke pās kursī par baiṭhī 15 wuh guzarne wāloṅ ko jo sīdhī rāh par chalte haiṅ ūṅchī āwāz se dāwat detī hai, 16 “Jo sādālauh hai wuh mere pās āe.”Jo nāsamajh haiṅ un se wuh kahtī hai, 17 “Chorī kā pānī mīṭhā aur poshīdagī meṅ khāī gaī roṭī lazīz hotī hai.” 18 Lekin unheṅ mālūm nahīṅ ki hamāqat bībī ke ghar meṅ sirf murdoṅ kī rūh bastī haiṅ, ki us ke mehmān Pātāl kī gahrāiyoṅ meṅ rahte haiṅ.
