1 Iată împăraţii pe care i-au bătut copiii lui Israel şi a căror ţară au luat-o în stăpânire de cealaltă parte a Iordanului, spre răsăritul soarelui, de la pârâul Arnon până la muntele Hermonului, cu toată câmpia de la răsărit: 2 pe Sihon, împăratul amoriţilor, care locuia la Hesbon. Stăpânirea lui se întindea de la Aroer, care este pe malul pârâului Arnon, şi, de la mijlocul pârâului, peste jumătate din Galaad, până la pârâul Iaboc, hotarul copiilor lui Amon; 3 de la câmpie până la Marea Chineret la răsărit şi până la marea câmpiei, care este Marea Sărată, la răsărit, spre Bet-Ieşimot; şi de la miazăzi, sub poalele muntelui Pisga. 4 Pe Og, împăratul Basanului, singura rămăşiţă a refaimiţilor, care locuiau la Aştarot şi la Edrei. 5 Stăpânirea lui se întindea peste muntele Hermonului, peste Salca, peste tot Basanul, până la hotarul gheşuriţilor şi maacatiţilor, şi peste jumătate din Galaad, hotarul lui Sihon, împăratul Hesbonului. 6 Moise, robul Domnului, şi copiii lui Israel i-au bătut; şi Moise, robul Domnului, le-a dat ţara lor în stăpânirea rubeniţilor, gadiţilor şi la jumătate din seminţia lui Manase. 7 Iată împăraţii pe care i-au bătut Iosua şi copiii lui Israel dincoace de Iordan, la apus, de la Baal-Gad în valea Libanului până la muntele cel pleşuv, care se înalţă spre Seir. Iosua a dat ţara lor în stăpânire seminţiilor lui Israel, fiecăreia i-a dat partea ei, 8 pe munte, în vale, în câmpie, pe costişe, în pustiu şi în partea de miazăzi, ţara hetiţilor, amoriţilor, canaaniţilor, fereziţilor, heviţilor şi iebusiţilor. 9 Împăratul Ierihonului, unul; împăratul din Ai, lângă Betel, unul; 10 împăratul Ierusalimului, unul; împăratul Hebronului, unul; 11 împăratul Iarmutului, unul; împăratul din Lachis, unul; 12 împăratul Eglonului, unul; împăratul Ghezerului, unul; 13 împăratul Debirului, unul; împăratul Ghederului, unul; 14 împăratul din Horma, unul; împăratul Aradului, unul; 15 împăratul Libnei, unul; împăratul Adulamului, unul; 16 împăratul din Macheda, unul; împăratul Betelului, unul; 17 împăratul Tapuahului, unul; împăratul Heferului, unul; 18 împăratul Afecului, unul; împăratul Laşaronului, unul; 19 împăratul Madonului, unul; împăratul Haţorului, unul; 20 împăratul Şimron-Meronului, unul; împăratul Acşafului, unul; 21 împăratul Taanacului, unul; împăratul din Meghido, unul; 22 împăratul din Chedeş, unul; împăratul Iocneamului, la Carmel, unul; 23 împăratul Dorului, pe înălţimile Dorului, unul; împăratul Goiimului, lângă Ghilgal, unul; 24 împăratul din Tirţa, unul.
