Exodus 20 (AS21)

1  Então Deus falou todas estas palavras: 2 Eu sou o SENHOR teu Deus, que te tirou da terra do Egito, da casa da escravidão. 3 Não terás outros deuses além de mim. 4 Não farás para ti imagem esculpida, nem figura alguma do que há em cima no céu, nem embaixo na terra, ou nas águas debaixo da terra. 5 Não te curvarás diante delas, nem as cultuarás, pois eu, o SENHOR teu Deus, sou Deus zeloso. Eu castigo o pecado dos pais nos filhos até a terceira e quarta geração daqueles que me rejeitam; 6 mas sou misericordioso com mil gerações dos que me amam e guardam os meus mandamentos. 7 Não tomarás o nome do SENHOR teu Deus em vão; porque o SENHOR não considerará inocente quem tomar o seu nome em vão. 8 Lembra-te do dia de sábado, para o santificar. 9 Seis dias trabalharás e farás o teu trabalho; 10 mas o sétimo dia é o sábado do SENHOR teu Deus. Nesse dia não farás trabalho algum, nem tu, nem teu filho, nem tua filha, nem teu servo, nem tua serva, nem teu animal, nem o estrangeiro que vive contigo. 11 Porque o SENHOR fez em seis dias o céu e a terra, o mar e tudo o que neles há, e no sétimo dia descansou. Por isso, o SENHOR abençoou o dia de sábado e o santificou. 12 Honra teu pai e tua mãe, para que tenhas vida longa na terra que o SENHOR teu Deus te dá. 13 Não matarás. 14 Não adulterarás. 15 Não furtarás. 16 Não dirás falso testemunho contra o teu próximo. 17 Não cobiçarás a casa do teu próximo, não cobiçarás a mulher do teu próximo, nem o seu servo, nem a sua serva, nem o seu boi, nem o seu jumento, nem coisa alguma do teu próximo. 18 Todo o povo presenciava os trovões, os relâmpagos, o som da trombeta e o monte que fumegava. Vendo isso, o povo ficava de longe, tremendo de medo. 19 E disseram a Moisés: Fala tu mesmo conosco, e ouviremos; mas não fale Deus conosco, senão morreremos. 20 Moisés respondeu ao povo: Não temais, porque Deus veio para vos colocar à prova, para que o seu temor esteja em vós, a fim de que não pequeis. 21 O povo estava em pé de longe; Moisés, porém, foi até as trevas espessas onde Deus estava. 22 Então o SENHOR disse a Moisés: Assim dirás aos israelitas: Vistes que vos falei desde o céu. 23 Não fareis outros deuses para me serem rivais; não fareis para vós deuses de prata nem de ouro. 24 Tu me farás um altar de terra e sacrificarás sobre ele teus holocaustos e tuas ofertas pacíficas, tuas ovelhas e teus bois. Em todo lugar em que eu fizer celebrar a lembrança do meu nome, virei a ti e te abençoarei. 25 E, se me fizeres um altar de pedras, não o construirás com pedras lavradas; pois, se usares o teu cinzel nele, tu o profanarás. 26 E não subas por degraus ao meu altar, para que tua nudez não seja exposta ali.
