Isaiah 27 (AS21)
1 Naquele dia, o SENHOR castigará com sua espada destruidora, grande e forte, o Leviatã, a serpente fugitiva; o Leviatã, a serpente veloz, e matará o dragão do mar. 2 Naquele dia se dirá: Cantai sobre a vinha deliciosa. 3 Eu, o SENHOR, protejo-a e a rego a cada momento; eu a protegerei dia e noite, para que ninguém lhe cause dano. 4 Não estou irado. Quem lançaria contra mim sarças e espinheiros? Eu marcharia contra eles e os queimaria juntos, 5 a não ser que busquem o meu refúgio e façam paz comigo; sim, façam paz comigo. 6 Dias virão em que Jacó lançará raízes; Israel florescerá e brotará; eles encherão de fruto a face da terra. 7 Por acaso o SENHOR os feriu como aos que os feriram? Matou-os como aos que foram mortos por eles? 8 Tu os julgaste na medida certa quando os rejeitaste, e os expulsaste com o vento forte, na época do vento oriental. 9 Portanto, a maldade de Jacó será perdoada, e o fruto do perdão do seu pecado será este: ele fará todas as pedras do altar como pedras de cal feitas em pedaços, e os postes-ídolos e os altares de incenso não serão mais levantados. 10 Porque a cidade fortificada está solitária, uma habitação rejeitada e abandonada como um deserto. Ali os bezerros pastarão e também se deitarão, e devorarão os seus ramos. 11 Quando os seus ramos secam e se quebram, as mulheres vêm e colocam fogo neles, porque este povo não tem entendimento. Portanto, aquele que o fez não se compadecerá dele, e aquele que o formou não o perdoará. 12 Naquele dia, o SENHOR debulhará o seu trigo desde o rio até o ribeiro do Egito; e vós sereis escolhidos um a um, ó israelitas. 13 E naquele dia se tocará uma grande trombeta; e os que estavam perdidos pela terra da Assíria, e os que foram exilados na terra do Egito, retornarão e adorarão o SENHOR no monte santo, em Jerusalém.
