1 1. Ведай жа тое, што ў апошнія дні надыйдуць злыя часы. 2 2. Бо людзі будуць самалюбныя, срэбралюбцы, пыхліўцы, ганарыстыя, блюзьнеры, непаслухмяныя бацькам, няўдзячныя, нячыстыя, бязьлітасныя, 3 3. няўмольныя, паклёпнікі, неапанаваныя, жорсткія, ненавісьнікі таго, што добрае, 4 4. здраднікі, неразважныя, фанабэрыстыя, якія больш любяць асалоду, чым Бога, 5 5. якія маюць выгляд пабожнасьці, а сілы яе адракліся. Ад гэтакіх адварочвайся. 6 6. Бо з гэтакіх тыя, што закрадаюцца ў дамы і палоняць жанчынак, абцяжараных грахамі, якіх водзяць розныя пажадлівасьці, 7 7. якія заўсёды вучацца і ніколі ня могуць дайсьці да пазнаньня праўды. 8 8. Як Яннэс і Ямбрэс супрацьстаялі Майсею, гэтак і яны супрацьстаяць праўдзе, людзі з папсаваным розумам, няздатныя ў веры. 9 9. Але яны ня шмат будуць узрастаць, бо шаленства іхняе выкрыецца перад усімі, як гэта і сталася з тымі. 10 10. А ты пайшоў сьледам за мною ў навучаньні, ладзе жыцьця, намерах, веры, доўгацярплівасьці, любові, непахіснасьці, 11 11. перасьледваньнях, пакутах, якія здарыліся са мною ў Антыёхіі, Іконіі, Лістрах; гэтыя перасьледваньні я перанёс, і з усіх выбавіў мяне Госпад. 12 12. Дый усе, якія хочуць жыць пабожна ў Хрысьце Ісусе, перасьледаваны будуць. 13 13. А злыя людзі і ашуканцы будуць узрастаць у зьле, падманваючы [іншых] і падманваючы сябе. 14 14. А ты заставайся ў тым, чаго навучыўся і што табе даверана, ведаючы, праз каго ты навучаны; 15 15. і што ты з дзяцінства ведаеш Сьвятое Пісаньне, якое можа зрабіць цябе мудрым на збаўленьне праз веру, што ў Хрысьце Ісусе. 16 16. Усё Пісаньне натхнёнае Богам і карыснае дзеля навучаньня, дзеля дакараньня, дзеля выпраўленьня, дзеля дысцыплінаваньня ў праведнасьці, 17 17. каб дасканалым быў чалавек Божы, да ўсякае добрае справы гатовым.
