1 Timothy 3 (BOVCB)

1 Đây là lời trung thực: Muốn lãnh đạo Hội Thánh là một ước mơ cao quý. 2 Người lãnh đạo phải có nếp sống không ai chê trách được, một chồng một vợ, điều độ, tự chủ, thứ tự, hiếu khách, khéo giáo huấn, 3 không say sưa hoặc hung bạo, nhưng nhẫn nhục, hòa nhã, không tham tiền bạc, 4 giỏi việc tề gia, dạy dỗ con cái biết vâng phục trọn vẹn. 5 Nếu không biết tề gia, làm sao cai trị Hội Thánh của Đức Chúa Trời? 6 Người mới tin Chúa không được giữ chức vụ lãnh đạo, vì có thể lên mặt kiêu căng mà bị xét xử như ác quỷ. 7 Hơn nữa, người lãnh đạo Hội Thánh phải được người chưa tin Chúa làm chứng tốt, để khỏi bị sỉ nhục và mắc vào cạm bẫy của ác quỷ. 8 Các chấp sự cũng thế, phải trang nghiêm, thành thật, không say sưa, không tham tiền. 9 Họ phải giữ lẽ huyền nhiệm của đức tin với lương tâm trong sạch. 10 Họ phải chịu thử nghiệm, nếu không có gì đáng trách, mới được làm chấp sự. 11 Vợ của chấp sự cũng phải nghiêm trang, không vu oan cho người khác, Họ phải điều độ, trung tín trong mọi việc. 12 Chấp sự cũng chỉ một chồng một vợ, khéo quản trị con cái và gia đình. 13 Chấp sự phục vụ tốt sẽ được kính trọng và đức tin càng thêm vững vàng trong Chúa Cứu Thế Giê-xu. 14 Ta mong sớm đến thăm con, nhưng cứ viết thư này gửi trước, 15 dù ta chưa đến kịp, con cũng biết cách quản trị Hội Thánh của Đức Chúa Trời Hằng Sống, là trụ cột và nền móng của chân lý. 16 Huyền nhiệm của Đạo Chúa thật quá vĩ đại:“Chúa Cứu Thế đã hiện ra trong thân xác,được Chúa Thánh Linh chứng thực.Ngài được thiên sứ chiêm ngưỡng,được công bố cho mọi dân tộc.Ngài được nhân loại tin nhậnvà được lên trời trong vinh quang.”
