Amos 6 (ELBE)
1 Wehe den Sorglosen in Zion und den Sicheren auf dem Berg von Samaria, den Vornehmen der ersten der Nationen, zu denen das Haus Israel kommt! 2 Geht hinüber nach Kalne und seht, und geht von dort nach Hamat, der großen Stadt, und steigt hinab nach Gat der Philister: Sind sie vorzüglicher als diese Königreiche, oder ist ihr Gebiet größer als euer Gebiet? 3 Ihr, die den Tag des Unglücks hinausschieben und den Thron der Gewalttat nahe rücken; 4 die auf Polstern von Elfenbein liegen und auf ihren Ruhebetten sich strecken und Fettschafe von der Herde essen und Kälber aus dem Maststall; 5 die zum Klang der Harfe faseln, sich wie David Musikinstrumente ersinnen; 6 die Wein aus Schalen trinken und mit den besten Ölen sich salben und sich nicht grämen über die Wunde Josephs. 7 Darum werden sie nun weggeführt werden an der Spitze der Weggeführten, und das Gejauchze der träge Hingestreckten wird aufhören. 8 Der Herr, HERR, hat bei sich selbst geschworen, spricht der HERR, der Gott der Heerscharen: Ich verabscheue den Stolz Jakobs und hasse seine Paläste; und ich werde die Stadt preisgeben und alles, was sie erfüllt. 9 Und es wird geschehen, wenn zehn Männer in einem Haus übrigbleiben, so werden sie sterben. 10 Und hebt einen der Gestorbenen sein Onkel und sein Bestatter auf, um die Gebeine aus dem Haus hinauszuschaffen, und spricht zu dem, der im Innern des Hauses ist: Ist noch jemand bei dir? Und dieser sagt: Niemand!, so wird er sagen: Still, denn der Name des HERRN darf nicht erwähnt werden! 11 Denn siehe, der HERR gebietet, und man schlägt das große Haus in Trümmer und das kleine Haus in Splitter. 12 Rennen wohl Pferde auf Felsen, oder pflügt man darauf mit Rindern, dass ihr das Recht in Gift und die Frucht der Gerechtigkeit in Wermut verwandelt habt, 13 die ihr euch über Nichtiges freut, die ihr sprecht: Haben wir uns nicht durch unsere Stärke Hörner erworben? 14 Denn siehe, ich werde gegen euch, Haus Israel, eine Nation erwecken, spricht der HERR, der Gott der Heerscharen; und sie werden euch bedrücken von dem Eingang Hamats an bis zum Bach der Ebene.
