Salmo de Davi 1 Esperei com paciênciapelo SENHOR;ele se inclinou para mime me ouviu quando clameipor socorro. 2 Tirou-me de um poçode perdição,de um atoleiro de lama;colocou os meus péssobre uma rochae firmou os meus passos. 3 E me pôs nos lábiosum cântico novo,um hino de louvor ao nosso Deus.Muitos verão essas coisas, temerãoe confiarão no SENHOR. 4 Bem-aventurado é aqueleque põe no SENHORa sua confiançae não se volta para os arrogantes,nem para os que seguema mentira. 5 São muitas, SENHOR, Deus meu,as maravilhas que tens operadoe também os teus desígniospara conosco;não há ninguémque possa se igualar a ti.Eu quisera anunciá-lose deles falar,mas são mais do quese pode contar. 6 Sacrifícios e ofertas não quiseste;abriste os meus ouvidos;holocaustos e ofertas pelo pecadonão requeres. 7 Então eu disse: “Eis aqui estou,no rolo do livro está escritoa meu respeito; 8 agrada-me fazer a tua vontade,ó Deus meu;a tua lei está dentrodo meu coração.” 9 Proclamei as boas-novasde justiçana grande congregação;jamais cerrei os lábios,tu o sabes, SENHOR. 10 Não ocultei no coraçãoa tua justiça;proclamei a tua fidelidadee a tua salvação;não escondida grande congregaçãoa tua graça e a tua verdade. 11 Não retenhas de mim, SENHOR,as tuas misericórdias;que a tua graça e a tua verdadesempre me guardem. 12 São incontáveis os malesque me cercam;as minhas iniquidadesme alcançaram,tantas, que me impedem a visão;são mais numerosasque os cabelosde minha cabeça,e o coração desfalece. 13 Agrada-te, SENHOR, em me livrar;apressa-te, ó SENHOR,em me socorrer. 14 Que sejam envergonhadose cobertos de vexametodos os que buscamtirar-me a vida;retrocedame cubram-se de vergonhaos que se alegram com o meu mal. 15 Sofram perturbaçãopor causa da sua vergonhaaqueles que me dizem:“Bem feito! Bem feito!” 16 Exultem e em ti se alegremtodos os que te buscam;os que amam a tua salvaçãodigam sempre:“O SENHOR seja engrandecido!” 17 Eu sou pobre e necessitado,porém o Senhor cuida de mim.Tu és o meu amparoe o meu libertador;não te demores, ó Deus meu!
