1 Har chīz kī apnī ghaṛī hotī, āsmān tale har muāmale kā apnā waqt hotā hai, 2 janm lene aur marne kā,paudā lagāne aur ukhāṛne kā, 3 mār dene aur shifā dene kā,ḍhā dene aur tāmīr karne kā, 4 rone aur haṅsne kā,āheṅ bharne aur raqs karne kā, 5 patthar phaiṅkne aur patthar jamā karne kā,gale milne aur is se bāz rahne kā, 6 talāsh karne aur kho dene kā,mahfūz rakhne aur phaiṅkne kā, 7 phāṛne aur sī kar joṛne kā,ḳhāmosh rahne aur bolne kā, 8 pyār karne aur nafrat karne kā,jang laṛne aur salāmatī se zindagī guzārne kā, 9 chunāṅche kyā fāydā hai ki kām karne wālā mehnat-mashaqqat kare? 10 Maiṅ ne wuh taklīfdeh kām-kāj dekhā jo Allāh ne insān ke sapurd kiyā tāki wuh us meṅ uljhā rahe. 11 Us ne har chīz ko yoṅ banāyā hai ki wuh apne waqt ke lie ḳhūbsūrat aur munāsib ho. Us ne insān ke dil meṅ jāwidānī bhī ḍālī hai, go wuh shurū se le kar āḳhir tak us kām kī tah tak nahīṅ pahuṅch saktā jo Allāh ne kiyā hai. 12 Maiṅ ne jān liyā ki insān ke lie is se behtar kuchh nahīṅ hai ki wuh ḳhush rahe aur jīte-jī zindagī kā mazā le. 13 Kyoṅki agar koī khāe-pie aur tamām mehnat-mashaqqat ke sāth sāth ḳhushhāl bhī ho to yih Allāh kī baḳhshish hai. 14 Mujhe samajh āī ki jo kuchh Allāh kare wuh abad tak qāym rahegā. Us meṅ na izāfā ho saktā hai na kamī. Allāh yih sab kuchh is lie kartā hai ki insān us kā ḳhauf māne. 15 Jo hāl meṅ pesh ā rahā hai wuh māzī meṅ pesh ā chukā hai, aur jo mustaqbil meṅ pesh āegā wuh bhī pesh ā chukā hai. Hāṅ, jo kuchh guzar chukā hai use Allāh dubārā wāpas lātā hai. 16 Maiṅ ne sūraj tale mazīd dekhā, jahāṅ adālat karnī hai wahāṅ nāinsāfī hai, jahāṅ insāf karnā hai wahāṅ bedīnī hai. 17 Lekin maiṅ dil meṅ bolā, “Allāh rāstbāz aur bedīn donoṅ kī adālat karegā, kyoṅki har muāmale aur kām kā apnā waqt hotā hai.” 18 Maiṅ ne yih bhī sochā, “Jahāṅ tak insānoṅ kā tālluq hai Allāh un kī jāṅch-paṛtāl kartā hai tāki unheṅ patā chale ki wuh jānwaroṅ kī mānind haiṅ. 19 Kyoṅki insān-o-haiwān kā ek hī anjām hai. Donoṅ dam chhoṛte, donoṅ meṅ ek-sā dam hai, is lie insān ko haiwān kī nisbat zyādā fāydā hāsil nahīṅ hotā. Sab kuchh bātil hī hai. 20 Sab kuchh ek hī jagah chalā jātā hai, sab kuchh ḳhāk se banā hai aur sab kuchh dubārā ḳhāk meṅ mil jāegā. 21 Kaun yaqīn se kah saktā hai ki insān kī rūh ūpar kī taraf jātī aur haiwān kī rūh nīche zamīn meṅ utartī hai?” 22 Ġharz maiṅ ne jān liyā ki insān ke lie is se behtar kuchh nahīṅ hai ki wuh apne kāmoṅ meṅ ḳhush rahe, yihī us ke nasīb meṅ hai. Kyoṅki kaun use wuh deḳhne ke qābil banāegā jo us ke bād pesh āegā? Koī nahīṅ!
