1 Yarmiyāh ḳhāmosh huā. Jo kuchh bhī Rab un ke Ḳhudā ne Yarmiyāh ko unheṅ sunāne ko kahā thā use us ne un sab tak pahuṅchāyā thā. 2 Phir Azariyāh bin Hūsāyāh, Yūhanān bin Aḳhīqām aur tamām badtamīz ādmī bol uṭhe, “Tum jhūṭ bol rahe ho! Rab hamāre Ḳhudā ne tumheṅ yih sunāne ko nahīṅ bhejā ki Misr ko na jāo, na wahāṅ ābād ho jāo. 3 Is ke pīchhe Bārūk bin Nairiyāh kā hāth hai. Wuhī tumheṅ hamāre ḳhilāf uksā rahā hai, kyoṅki wuh chāhtā hai ki ham Bābliyoṅ ke hāth meṅ ā jāeṅ tāki wuh hameṅ qatl kareṅ yā jilāwatan karke Mulk-e-Bābal le jāeṅ.” 4 Aisī bāteṅ karte karte Yūhanān bin Qarīh, dīgar faujī afsaroṅ aur bāqī tamām logoṅ ne Rab kā hukm radd kiyā. Wuh Mulk-e-Yahūdāh meṅ na rahe 5 balki sab Yūhanān aur bāqī tamām faujī afsaroṅ kī rāhnumāī meṅ Misr chale gae. Yarmiyāh Nabī aur Bārūk bin Nairiyāh ko bhī sāth jānā paṛā. 7 Yoṅ wuh Rab kī hidāyat radd karke rawānā hue aur chalte chalte Misrī sarhad ke shahr Tahfanhīs tak pahuṅche. 8 Tahfanhīs meṅ Rab kā kalām Yarmiyāh par nāzil huā, 9 “Apne hamwatanoṅ kī maujūdagī meṅ chand ek baṛe patthar Firaun ke mahal ke darwāze ke qarīb le jā kar farsh kī kachchī īṅṭoṅ ke nīche dabā de. 10 Phir unheṅ batā de, ‘Rabbul-afwāj jo Isrāīl kā Ḳhudā hai farmātā hai ki maiṅ apne ḳhādim Shāh-e-Bābal Nabūkadnazzar ko bulā kar yahāṅ lāūṅgā aur us kā taḳht un pattharoṅ ke ūpar khaṛā karūṅga jo maiṅ ne Yarmiyāh ke zariye dabāe haiṅ. Nabūkadnazzar unhīṅ ke ūpar apnā shāhī tambū lagāegā. 11 Kyoṅki wuh āegā aur Misr par hamlā karke har ek ke sāth wuh kuchh karegā jo us ke nasīb meṅ hai. Ek mar jāegā, dūsrā qaid meṅ jāegā aur tīsrā talwār kī zad meṅ āegā. 12 12-13 Nabūkadnazzar Misrī dewatāoṅ ke mandiroṅ ko jalā kar rākh kar degā aur un ke butoṅ par qabzā karke unheṅ apne sāth le jāegā. Jis tarah charwāhā apne kapṛe se jueṅ nikāl nikāl kar use sāf kar letā hai usī tarah Shāh-e-Bābal Misr ko māl-o-matā se sāf karegā. Misr āte waqt wuh Sūraj Dewatā ke mandir meṅ jā kar us ke satūnoṅ ko ḍhā degā aur bāqī Misrī dewatāoṅ ke mandir bhī nazar-e-ātish karegā. Phir Shāh-e-Bābal sahīh-salāmat wahāṅ se wāpas chalā jāegā.’”
