1 Merī mahbūbā, tū kitnī ḳhūbsūrat, kitnī hasīn hai! Niqāb ke pīchhe terī āṅkhoṅ kī jhalak kabūtaroṅ kī mānind hai. Tere bāl un bakriyoṅ kī mānind haiṅ jo uchhaltī-kūdtī Koh-e-Jiliyād se utartī haiṅ. 2 Tere dāṅt abhī abhī katrī aur nahlāī huī bheṛoṅ jaise safed haiṅ. Har dāṅt kā juṛwāṅ hai, ek bhī gum nahīṅ huā. 3 Tere hoṅṭ qirmizī rang kā ḍorā haiṅ, terā muṅh kitnā pyārā hai. Niqāb ke pīchhe tere gāloṅ kī jhalak anār ke ṭukṛoṅ kī mānind dikhāī detī hai. 4 Terī gardan Dāūd ke burj jaisī dilrubā hai. Jis tarah is gol aur mazbūt burj se pahalwānoṅ kī hazār ḍhāleṅ laṭkī haiṅ us tarah terī gardan bhī zewarāt se ārāstā hai. 5 Terī chhātiyāṅ sosanoṅ meṅ charne wāle ġhazāl ke juṛwāṅ bachchoṅ kī mānind haiṅ. 6 Is se pahle ki shām kī hawā chale aur sāy lambe ho kar farār ho jāeṅ maiṅ mur ke pahāṛ aur baḳhūr kī pahāṛī ke pās chalūṅgā. 7 Merī mahbūbā, terā husn kāmil hai, tujh meṅ koī nuqs nahīṅ hai. 8 Ā merī dulhan, Lubnān se mere sāth ā! Ham Koh-e-Amānā kī choṭī se, Sanīr aur Harmūn kī choṭiyoṅ se utreṅ, sheroṅ kī māndoṅ aur chītoṅ ke pahāṛoṅ se utreṅ. 9 Merī bahan, merī dulhan, tū ne merā dil churā liyā hai, apnī āṅkhoṅ kī ek hī nazar se, apne gulūband ke ek hī jauhar se tū ne merā dil churā liyā hai. 10 Merī bahan, merī dulhan, terī muhabbat kitnī manmohan hai! Terā pyār mai se kahīṅ zyādā pasandīdā hai. Balsān kī koī bhī ḳhushbū terī mahak kā muqābalā nahīṅ kar saktī. 11 Merī dulhan, jis tarah shahd chhatte se ṭapaktā hai usī tarah tere hoṅṭoṅ se miṭhās ṭapaktī hai. Dūdh aur shahd terī zabān tale rahte haiṅ. Tere kapṛoṅ kī ḳhushbū sūṅgh kar Lubnān kī ḳhushbū yād ātī hai. 12 Merī bahan, merī dulhan, tū ek bāġh hai jis kī chārdīwārī kisī aur ko andar āne nahīṅ detī, ek band kiyā gayā chashmā jis par muhr lagī hai. 13 Bāġh meṅ anār ke daraḳht lage haiṅ jin par lazīz phal pak rahā hai. Mehndī ke paude bhī ug rahe haiṅ. 14 Bālchhaṛ, zāfrān, ḳhushbūdār bed, dārchīnī, baḳhūr kī har qism kā daraḳht, mur, ūd aur har qism kā balsān bāġh meṅ phaltā-phūltā hai. 15 Tū bāġh kā ubaltā chashmā hai, ek aisā mambā jis kā tāzā pānī Lubnān se bah kar ātā hai. 16 Ai shimālī hawā, jāg uṭh. Ai junūbī hawā, ā! Mere bāġh meṅ se guzar jā tāki wahāṅ se chāroṅ taraf balsān kī ḳhushbū phail jāe. Merā mahbūb apne bāġh meṅ ā kar us ke lazīz phaloṅ se khāe.
