Ephesians 1 (VDCC)
1 Pavel, apostol al lui Isus Hristos, prin voia lui Dumnezeu, către sfinţii care sunt în Efes şi credincioşii în Hristos Isus: 2 Har şi pace de la Dumnezeu, Tatăl nostru, şi de la Domnul Isus Hristos. 3 Binecuvântat să fie Dumnezeu, Tatăl Domnului nostru Isus Hristos, care ne-a binecuvântat cu tot felul de binecuvântări duhovniceşti, în locurile cereşti, în Hristos. 4 În El, Dumnezeu ne-a ales înainte de întemeierea lumii, ca să fim sfinţi şi fără prihană înaintea Lui, după ce, în dragostea Lui, 5 ne-a rânduit mai dinainte să fim înfiaţi prin Isus Hristos, după buna plăcere a voii Sale, 6 spre lauda slavei harului Său pe care ni l-a dat în Preaiubitul Lui. 7 În El avem răscumpărarea, prin sângele Lui, iertarea păcatelor, după bogăţiile harului Său 8 pe care l-a răspândit din belşug peste noi, prin orice fel de înţelepciune şi de pricepere; 9 căci a binevoit să ne descopere taina voii Sale, după planul pe care-l alcătuise în Sine însuşi, 10 ca să-l aducă la îndeplinire la împlinirea vremurilor, spre a-Şi uni iarăşi într-unul, în Hristos, toate lucrurile: cele din ceruri şi cele de pe pământ. 11 În El am fost făcuţi şi moştenitori, fiind rânduiţi mai dinainte, după hotărârea Aceluia care face toate după sfatul voii Sale, 12 ca să slujim de laudă slavei Sale, noi, care mai dinainte am nădăjduit în Hristos. 13 Şi voi, după ce aţi auzit Cuvântul adevărului (Evanghelia mântuirii voastre), aţi crezut în El şi aţi fost pecetluiţi cu Duhul Sfânt care fusese făgăduit 14 şi care este o arvună a moştenirii noastre, pentru răscumpărarea celor câştigaţi de Dumnezeu, spre lauda slavei Lui. 15 De aceea şi eu, de când am auzit despre credinţa în Domnul Isus care este în voi şi despre dragostea voastră pentru toţi sfinţii, 16 nu încetez să aduc mulţumiri pentru voi, când vă pomenesc în rugăciunile mele. 17 Şi mă rog ca Dumnezeul Domnului nostru Isus Hristos, Tatăl slavei, să vă dea un duh de înţelepciune şi de descoperire, în cunoaşterea Lui, 18 şi să vă lumineze ochii inimii ca să pricepeţi care este nădejdea chemării Lui, care este bogăţia slavei moştenirii Lui în sfinţi 19 şi care este faţă de noi, credincioşii, nemărginita mărime a puterii Sale, după lucrarea puterii tăriei Lui, 20 pe care a desfăşurat-o în Hristos, prin faptul că L-a înviat din morţi şi L-a pus să şadă la dreapta Sa, în locurile cereşti, 21 mai presus de orice domnie, de orice stăpânire, de orice putere, de orice dregătorie şi de orice nume care se poate numi, nu numai în veacul acesta, ci şi în cel viitor. 22 El I-a pus totul sub picioare şi L-a dat căpetenie peste toate lucrurile, Bisericii, 23 care este trupul Lui, plinătatea Celui ce îndeplineşte totul în toţi.
