1 Peter 5 (AS21)

1  Portanto, suplico aos presbíteros que há entre vós, eu que sou presbítero com eles, testemunha dos sofrimentos de Cristo e participante da glória que será revelada: 2 pastoreai o rebanho de Deus que está entre vós, cuidando dele não por obrigação, mas espontaneamente, segundo a vontade de Deus; nem por interesse em ganho ilícito, mas de boa vontade; 3 nem como dominadores dos que vos foram confiados, mas servindo de exemplo ao rebanho. 4 Quando o Supremo Pastor se manifestar, recebereis a imperecível coroa da glória. 5 Do mesmo modo, vós, os mais jovens, sujeitai-vos aos presbíteros. Tende todos uma disposição humilde uns para com os outros, porque Deus se opõe aos arrogantes, mas dá graça aos humildes. 6 Portanto, humilhai-vos sob a poderosa mão de Deus, para que ele a seu tempo vos exalte, 7 lançando sobre ele toda vossa ansiedade, pois ele tem cuidado de vós. 8 Tende bom senso e estai atentos. O Diabo, vosso adversário, anda em derredor, rugindo como leão que procura a quem possa devorar. 9 Resisti-lhe firmes na fé, sabendo que os mesmos sofrimentos estão acontecendo entre vossos irmãos no mundo. 10 E o Deus de toda graça, que em Cristo vos chamou à sua eterna glória, depois de haverdes sofrido um pouco, ele mesmo vos haverá de reabilitar, confirmar, fortalecer e alicerçar. 11 A ele seja o domínio para todo o sempre. Amém. 12 Por intermédio de Silvano, que considero nosso fiel irmão, escrevo de forma abreviada, exortando e testemunhando que esta é a verdadeira graça de Deus; nela permanecei firmes. 13 Aquela que é coeleita convosco, que está na Babilônia, vos cumprimenta, como também meu filho Marcos. 14 Cumprimentai-vos uns aos outros com beijo de santo amor. Paz seja com todos vós que estais em Cristo.
