1 Timothy 4 (BOVCB)

1 Chúa Thánh Linh đã dạy dỗ rõ ràng: trong thời kỳ cuối cùng, một số người sẽ bỏ đức tin, đi theo các thần lừa gạt và lời dạy của ác quỷ, 2 qua môi miệng bọn đạo đức giả chuyên nói dối đến nỗi lương tâm trở thành chai đá. 3 Họ cấm kết hôn, bảo kiêng cữ các thức ăn được Đức Chúa Trời sáng tạo cho người tin và hiểu chân lý. 4 Vì mọi vật Đức Chúa Trời sáng tạo đều tốt lành, không gì đáng bỏ, nếu ta cảm tạ mà nhận lãnh. 5 Tất cả đều được thánh hóa do lời Đức Chúa Trời và lời cầu nguyện. 6 Nếu con trung thực trình bày những điều ấy cho các tín hữu, thì con đúng là đầy tớ trung thành của Chúa Cứu Thế Giê-xu, được nuôi dưỡng bằng đức tin và các giáo huấn tốt lành mà con cẩn thận vâng giữ. 7 Đừng phí thì giờ tranh luận về chuyện phàm tục, hoang đường, nhưng phải luyện tập lòng tin kính. 8 Luyện tập thân thể ích lợi một phần, nhưng luyện tập lòng tin kính ích lợi mọi mặt cho cuộc sống đời này và đời sau. 9 Đó là lời trung thực, đáng được mọi người tin nhận. 10 Vì thế, chúng ta lao khổ và chiến đấu, vì đặt hy vọng nơi Đức Chúa Trời Hằng Sống, Chúa Cứu Thế của mọi người, nhất là người tin nhận Ngài. 11 Con hãy răn bảo, dạy dỗ những điều đó. 12 Đừng để ai khinh con vì trẻ tuổi, nhưng con phải làm gương cho các tín hữu trong lời nói, việc làm, tình thương, đức tin và tấm lòng trong sạch. 13 Con hãy chuyên đọc và giảng Thánh Kinh, khích lệ và dạy dỗ tín hữu cho đến khi ta trở lại. 14 Đừng lãng quên các ân tứ Chúa cho con qua lời tiên tri và sự đặt tay của các trưởng lão Hội Thánh. 15 Con phải hết lòng chăm lo trau dồi các ân tứ ấy, để mọi người thấy rõ sự tiến bộ của con. 16 Phải cẩn trọng với chính mình và cẩn thận giảng dạy. Con cứ chuyên tâm thực hành nguyên tắc ấy. Chúa sẽ ban ơn phước cho con và dùng con cứu vớt nhiều người.
