2 Corinthians 4 (BOVCB)

1 Do lòng nhân từ của Chúa, chúng tôi được ủy thác chức vụ truyền bá Phúc Âm, nên chẳng thối chí ngã lòng. 2 Chúng tôi không dùng thủ đoạn ám muội, không lừa gạt dối trá, không xuyên tạc lời Đức Chúa Trời. Trái lại, trước mặt Đức Chúa Trời, chúng tôi công khai giảng giải chân lý cho mọi người có lương tâm nhận xét. 3 Nếu Phúc Âm chúng tôi truyền giảng có vẻ khó hiểu, chỉ khó hiểu cho người hư vong. 4 Vì Sa-tan, thần của đời này đã làm mờ tối tâm trí người vô tín, khiến họ không nhìn thấy ánh sáng Phúc Âm, không hiểu lời truyền giảng về vinh quang Chúa Cứu Thế, là hiện thân của Đức Chúa Trời. 5 Chúng tôi không rêu rao tài đức của mình, nhưng truyền giảng Chúa Cứu Thế Giê-xu là Chúa, và chúng tôi làm đầy tớ cho anh chị em. 6 Đức Chúa Trời đã truyền bảo ánh sáng phải soi chiếu trong cõi tối tăm, nên Ngài soi sáng lòng chúng tôi, giúp chúng tôi hiểu được vinh quang Đức Chúa Trời hằng sáng rực trên gương mặt Chúa Cứu Thế. 7 Chúng tôi đựng bảo vật này trong bình đất—là thân thể chúng tôi. Vậy quyền năng vô hạn ấy đến từ Đức Chúa Trời, chứ không do chúng tôi. 8 Chúng tôi bị áp lực đủ cách, nhưng không kiệt quệ, bị bối rối, thắc mắc nhưng không bao giờ tuyệt vọng, 9 bị bức hại nhưng không mất nơi nương tựa, bị quật ngã nhưng không bị tiêu diệt. 10 Thân này hằng mang sự chết của Chúa Giê-xu để sức sống Ngài thể hiện trong thân xác mình. 11 Chúng tôi sống nhưng tính mạng luôn bị đe dọa vì phục vụ Chúa, để sức sống Ngài thể hiện trong thân xác hư hoại của chúng tôi. 12 Như thế, chết chóc luôn đe dọa chúng tôi, nhưng chính nhờ đó anh chị em được sống. 13 Chúng tôi nói điều chúng tôi tin, như tác giả Thi Thiên đã viết: “Tôi tin Đức Chúa Trời nên tôi nói.” 14 Chúng tôi biết Đức Chúa Trời, Đấng đã khiến Chúa Giê-xu sống lại, cũng sẽ cho chúng tôi sống lại với Chúa Giê-xu, và trình diện chúng tôi cùng anh chị em trước mặt Ngài. 15 Mọi việc ấy đều nhằm mục đích phục vụ anh chị em. Do đó, càng đông người hưởng ân sủng Đức Chúa Trời, càng thêm nhiều lời cảm tạ, ngợi tôn Ngài. 16 Vì thế, chúng ta chẳng nản lòng. Dù người bề ngoài hư nát, nhưng người bề trong cứ ngày càng đổi mới. 17 Vì nỗi khổ đau nhẹ nhàng, tạm thời sẽ đem lại cho chúng ta vinh quang rực rỡ muôn đời. 18 Chúng ta chẳng tìm tòi những điều thấy được, nhưng chú tâm vào những điều không thấy được; vì điều thấy được chỉ là tạm thời, còn điều không thấy được là trường tồn, bất diệt.
