Micah 4 (LBA)
1 Il arrivera, à la fin des jours, que la montagne de la maison de l'Eternel sera affermie au sommet des montagnes et qu'elle sera élevée au-dessus des collines, et les peuples y afflueront. 2 De nombreuses nations viendront et diront : Venez et montons à la montagne de l'Eternel, à la maison du Dieu de Jacob ; il nous instruira de ses voies, et nous marcherons dans ses sentiers ! Car de Sion sortira la loi, et la parole de l'Eternel de Jérusalem. 3 Il sera l'arbitre de peuples nombreux et le juge de nations puissantes et lointaines ; ils forgeront leurs épées en socs de charrues et leurs lances en serpettes ; une nation ne lèvera plus l'épée contre l'autre, et on n'apprendra plus la guerre. 4 Ils habiteront chacun sous sa vigne et sous son figuier, sans que personne les trouble ; car la bouche de l'Eternel des armées a parlé. 5 Car tous les peuples marchent chacun au nom de son dieu ; et nous, nous marchons au nom de l'Eternel notre Dieu, à toujours et à perpétuité ! 6 En ce jour-là, dit l'Eternel, je recueillerai celles qui boitent, je rassemblerai les dispersées et celles auxquelles j'avais fait du mal. 7 Et je ferai de celles qui boitent un reste qui subsistera, et de celles qui sont éloignées une nation puissante. Et l'Eternel régnera sur eux, en la montagne de Sion, dès lors et à toujours. 8 Et toi, tour du troupeau, colline de la fille de Sion, elle viendra jusqu'à toi, elle te reviendra, la domination première, la royauté de la fille de Jérusalem. 9 Pourquoi maintenant pousses-tu de tels cris ? N'y a-t-il point de roi au milieu de toi, ou ton conseiller a-t-il péri, que la douleur t'ait saisie comme celle qui enfante ? 10 Sois en travail, fille de Sion, et dans les maux, comme celle qui enfante ; car tu vas sortir de la ville et camper aux champs, et tu iras jusqu'à Babylone ; là, tu seras délivrée ; là, l'Eternel te rachètera de la main de tes ennemis ! 11 Et maintenant, de nombreuses nations se sont rassemblées contre toi ; elles disent : Qu'elle soit profanée, et que nos yeux se repaissent de Sion ! 12 Mais elles, elles ne connaissent pas les pensées de l'Eternel, et elles ne comprennent pas son conseil ; car il les assemble comme des gerbes sur l'aire. 13 Lève-toi et foule, fille de Sion ! Car je ferai que ta corne sera de fer et tes sabots d'airain, et tu broieras des peuples nombreux ; et je vouerai leurs gains à l'Eternel et leurs richesses au Seigneur de toute la terre.
