Chunāṅche us ne Rab se hidāyat māṅgī. 7 Rab ne jawāb diyā, “Jo kuchh bhī wuh tujh se māṅgte haiṅ unheṅ de de. Is se wuh tujhe radd nahīṅ kar rahe balki mujhe, kyoṅki wuh nahīṅ chāhte ki maiṅ un kā Bādshāh rahūṅ. 8 Jab se maiṅ unheṅ Misr se nikāl lāyā wuh mujhe chhoṛ kar dīgar mābūdoṅ kī ḳhidmat karte āe haiṅ. Aur ab wuh tujh se bhī yihī sulūk kar rahe haiṅ. 9 Un kī bāt mān le, lekin sanjīdagī se unheṅ un par hukūmat karne wāle bādshāh ke huqūq se āgāh kar.” 10 Samuel ne bādshāh kā taqāzā karne wāloṅ ko sab kuchh kah sunāyā jo Rab ne use batāyā thā. 11 Wuh bolā, “Jo bādshāh āp par hukūmat karegā us ke yih huqūq hoṅge: Wuh āp ke beṭoṅ kī bhartī karke unheṅ apne rathoṅ aur ghoṛoṅ ko saṅbhālne kī zimmedārī degā. Unheṅ us ke rathoṅ ke āge āge dauṛnā paṛegā. 12 Kuchh us kī fauj ke janral aur kaptān baneṅge, kuchh us ke khetoṅ meṅ hal chalāne aur fasleṅ kāṭne par majbūr ho jāeṅge, aur bāz ko us ke hathiyār aur rath kā sāmān banānā paṛegā. 13 Bādshāh āp kī beṭiyoṅ ko āp se chhīn legā tāki wuh us ke lie khānā pakāeṅ, roṭī banāeṅ aur ḳhushbū taiyār kareṅ. 14 Wuh āp ke khetoṅ aur āp ke angūr aur zaitūn ke bāġhoṅ kā behtarīn hissā chun kar apne mulāzimoṅ ko de degā. 15 Bādshāh āp ke anāj aur angūr kā daswāṅ hissā le kar apne afsaroṅ aur mulāzimoṅ ko de degā. 16 Āp ke naukar-naukarāniyāṅ, āp ke moṭe-tāze bail aur gadhe usī ke istemāl meṅ āeṅge. 17 Wuh āp kī bheṛ-bakriyoṅ kā daswāṅ hissā talab karegā, aur āp ḳhud us ke ġhulām hoṅge. 18 Tab āp pachhtā kar kaheṅge, ‘Ham ne bādshāh kā taqāzā kyoṅ kiyā?’ Lekin jab āp Rab ke huzūr chīḳhte-chillāte madad chāheṅge to wuh āp kī nahīṅ sunegā.” 19 Lekin logoṅ ne Samuel kī bāt na mānī balki kahā, “Nahīṅ, to bhī ham bādshāh chāhte haiṅ, 20 kyoṅki phir hī ham dīgar qaumoṅ kī mānind hoṅge. Phir hamārā bādshāh hamārī rāhnumāī karegā aur jang meṅ hamāre āge āge chal kar dushman se laṛegā.” 21 Samuel ne Rab ke huzūr yih bāteṅ dohrāīṅ. 22 Rab ne jawāb diyā, “Un kā taqāzā pūrā kar, un par bādshāh muqarrar kar!”Phir Samuel ne Isrāīl ke mardoṅ se kahā, “Har ek apne apne shahr wāpas chalā jāe.”
