2 Chronicles 3 (AS21)

1  Então Salomão começou a construir o templo do SENHOR em Jerusalém, no monte Moriá, onde o SENHOR havia aparecido a Davi, seu pai, no lugar que Davi tinha preparado na eira de Ornã, o jebuseu. 2 Ele começou a construir no segundo dia do segundo mês, no quarto ano do seu reinado. 3 Foram estas as medidas dos alicerces que Salomão fez para construir o templo de Deus: sessenta côvados de comprimento e vinte côvados de largura, conforme a medida antiga. 4 O pórtico da entrada tinha vinte côvados de comprimento, correspondendo à largura do templo, e a altura era de vinte; e por dentro o revestiu de ouro puro. 5 Forrou o salão maior de madeira de cipreste e revestiu-o de ouro fino, e desenhou palmas e correntes nele. 6 Decorou o templo com pedras preciosas. O ouro era de Parvaim. 7 Também revestiu as vigas e os batentes de ouro, bem como as paredes e portas do templo, e lavrou querubins nas paredes. 8 Fez também o lugar santíssimo, cujo comprimento era de vinte côvados, correspondendo à largura do templo, e a sua largura era de vinte côvados, e o revestiu com seiscentos talentos de ouro fino. 9 O peso dos pregos de ouro era de cinquenta siclos. Também revestiu os cenáculos de ouro. 10 Também fez dois querubins de madeira no lugar santíssimo e os revestiu de ouro. 11 As asas abertas dos dois querubins tinham vinte côvados de comprimento: a asa de um deles, de cinco côvados, encostava na parede do templo, e a outra asa, também de cinco côvados, encostava na asa do outro querubim. 12 A asa deste querubim, de cinco côvados, encostava na parede do templo, e a outra asa, também de cinco côvados, encostava na asa do primeiro querubim. 13 Assim as asas destes querubins se estendiam por vinte côvados; eles estavam postos em pé, de rosto virado para o salão maior. 14 Também fez o véu de tecido azul, púrpura, vermelho e linho fino; e mandou bordar querubins nele. 15 Diante do templo, fez duas colunas de trinta e cinco côvados de altura; e o capitel sobre cada uma delas era de cinco côvados. 16 Também fez correntes, como no santuário interior, e as pôs sobre o alto das colunas; fez também cem romãs, que pendurou nas correntes. 17 Levantou as colunas diante do templo, uma à direita e outra à esquerda; e deu o nome de Jaquim à que estava à direita, e o nome de Boaz à que estava à esquerda.
