1 Depois disso, ele me levou para fora, ao pátio do norte; e me levou às salas que estavam em frente ao espaço vazio, e que estavam em frente do edifício, do lado norte. 2 Esse edifício tinha cem côvados de comprimento e cinquenta côvados de largura. 3 Em frente dos vinte côvados, que pertenciam ao pátio interior, e em frente do pavimento que tinha o pátio, havia uma galeria junto a outra em três andares. 4 E diante das salas havia uma passagem que dava para o pátio interior e tinha dez côvados de largura e cem de comprimento; e as suas portas davam para o norte. 5 E as salas superiores eram mais estreitas; porque as galerias tomavam mais espaço destas do que das de baixo e das do meio do edifício. 6 Elas eram de três andares e não tinham colunas como os pátios; por isso se estreitavam desde o chão mais do que as de baixo e as do meio. 7 No lado de fora, em paralelo às salas e em frente delas, na direção do pátio, havia uma parede com cinquenta côvados de comprimento. 8 Pois o comprimento da fileira de salas que estavam no pátio era de cinquenta côvados, ao passo que o da fileira que estava na frente do templo era de cem côvados. 9 Por baixo dessas salas estava a entrada oriental do pátio. 10 Na espessura da parede do pátio que dava para o oriente, diante do lugar separado, e diante do edifício, também havia salas, 11 que eram da mesma forma das salas do lado norte, com o mesmo comprimento e largura, com as mesmas saídas, dimensões e portas, e com uma passagem diante delas. 12 E à semelhança das portas das salas do lado sul era a porta no alto da passagem, isto é, da passagem bem em frente da parede, à direita de quem entra. 13 Então ele me disse: As salas do lado norte e as do lado sul, que estão em frente ao lugar separado, são salas sagradas, onde os sacerdotes que se chegam ao SENHOR comerão as coisas santíssimas. Ali porão as coisas santíssimas, as ofertas de cereais, as ofertas pelo pecado e as ofertas pela culpa; pois o lugar é santo. 14 Quando os sacerdotes entrarem, não sairão do santuário para o pátio, mas porão ali as vestes com as quais ministram, porque elas são santas; e vestirão outras, e assim se aproximarão do lugar pertencente ao povo. 15 Quando ele acabou de medir o templo interior, levou-me pela passagem da porta oriental; e o mediu em redor. 16 Mediu o lado oriental com a vara de medir: quinhentas varas. 17 Mediu o lado norte com a vara de medir: quinhentas varas. 18 Mediu também o lado sul com a vara de medir: quinhentas varas. 19 Deu uma volta para o lado do ocidente e mediu quinhentas varas com a vara de medir. 20 Ele mediu os quatro lados. Havia um muro em redor, de quinhentas varas de comprimento e quinhentas de largura, para fazer separação entre o santo e o profano.
