1 Samuel 7 (CCB)

1 Busa gikuha sa mga taga-Kiriat Jearim ang Kahon sa GINOO ug gidala ngadto sa balay ni Abinadab nga anaa mahimutang sa bungtod. Kon himuon ninyo kini, luwason niya kamo gikan sa kamot sa mga Filistihanon.” 4 Busa gilabay nila ang mga imahen ni Baal ug ni Ashtarot, ug ang GINOO na lang gayod ang ilang gialagaran. 5 Unya miingon si Samuel ngadto sa mga Israelinhon, “Pagtigom kamong tanan didto sa Mizpa, ug mag-ampo ako sa GINOO alang kaninyo.” 6 Sa dihang nagtigom na silang tanan sa Mizpa, nagkuha silag tubig ug ilang gibubo sa presensya sa GINOO. Niadtong adlawa nagpuasa sila ug nagsugid sa ilang mga sala ngadto sa GINOO. Ug sa dihang nabalitaan kini sa mga Israelinhon, nahadlok sila. 8 Miingon sila kang Samuel, “Ayawg undang sa pag-ampo ngadto sa GINOO nga atong Dios nga luwason niya kita gikan sa mga Filistihanon.” 9 Busa nagkuha si Samuel ug masuso pa nga karnero ug gisunog niya kini nga tibuok isip halad nga sinunog ngadto sa GINOO. Nangayo siyag tabang sa GINOO alang sa Israel ug gitubag siya sa GINOO. 10 Samtang naghalad si Samuel, miabot ang mga Filistihanon aron sa pagpakiggira sa mga Israelinhon. Apan nianang adlawa, gipadalogdog sa GINOO ug labihan kakusog busa nataranta ang mga Filistihanon, ug napildi sila sa mga Israelinhon. 11 Gigukod sila sa mga Israelinhon gikan sa Mizpa hangtod sa ubos sa Bet Kar ug gipamatay. 12 Unya mikuha si Samuel ug bato ug gibutang sa tunga-tunga sa Mizpa ug Shen. Ginganlan niya kinig Ebenezer kay miingon siya, “Hangtod karon ginatabangan kami sa GINOO.” 13 Busa napildi ang mga Filistihanon, ug wala na sila mosulong pag-usab sa dapit sa mga Israelinhon, kay nakigbatok gayod ang GINOO kanila samtang buhi pa si Samuel. 14 Ang mga lungsod gikan sa Ekron hangtod sa Gat nga giilog sa mga Filistihanon nabawi sa Israel. Ug naundang usab ang panaggira sa mga Israelinhon ug mga Amorihanon. 15 Nangulo si Samuel sa Israel sa tibuok niyang kinabuhi. 16 Matag tuig, molibot siya sa Betel, Gilgal, ug sa Mizpa, aron mangulo sa mga Israelinhon niining mga dapita. 17 Apan pagkahuman mopauli gayod siya sa Rama, diin siya nagpuyo, aron usab sa pagpangulo sa mga tawo didto. Ug naghimo siyag halaran alang sa GINOO.
