1 (Dem Vorsänger, nach Muth Labben. Ein Psalm von David.) 2 Ich will den HERRN preisen mit meinem ganzen Herzen, will erzählen alle deine Wundertaten. 3 In dir will ich mich freuen und frohlocken, will deinen Namen besingen, o Höchster! 4 Als meine Feinde sich zurückwandten, stürzten sie und kamen um vor deinem Angesicht. 5 Denn du hast ausgeführt mein Recht und meine Rechtssache; du hast dich auf den Thron gesetzt, ein gerechter Richter. 6 Du hast die Nationen gescholten, den Gottlosen vertilgt; ihren Namen hast du ausgelöscht für immer und ewig – 7 O Feind – zu Ende sind die Trümmer für immer. Auch hast du Städte zerstört; ihr, ja, ihr Gedächtnis ist verschwunden. 8 Der HERR aber thront ewiglich; er hat seinen Thron aufgestellt zum Gericht. 9 Und er, er wird den Erdkreis richten in Gerechtigkeit, wird über die Völkerschaften Gericht halten in Geradheit. 10 Und der HERR wird eine hohe Festung sein dem Unterdrückten, eine hohe Festung in Zeiten der Drangsal. 11 Und auf dich werden vertrauen, die deinen Namen kennen; denn du hast nicht verlassen, die dich suchen, HERR. 12 Singt Psalmen dem HERRN, der Zion bewohnt, verkündet unter den Völkern seine Taten! 13 Denn der dem vergossenen Blut nachforscht, hat ihrer gedacht; er hat das Schreien der Elenden nicht vergessen. 14 Sei mir gnädig, HERR! Sieh an mein Elend vonseiten meiner Hasser, indem du mich emporhebst aus den Toren des Todes, 15 damit ich all dein Lob erzähle in den Toren der Tochter Zion, frohlocke über deine Rettung. 16 Versunken sind die Nationen in die Grube, die sie gemacht; ihr Fuß wurde gefangen in dem Netz, das sie heimlich gelegt haben. 17 Der HERR ist bekannt geworden: Er hat Gericht ausgeübt, indem er den Gottlosen verstrickt hat in dem Werk seiner Hände. (Higgajon, Sela.) 18 Es werden zum Scheol umkehren die Gottlosen, alle Nationen, die Gottes vergessen. 19 Denn nicht für immer wird der Arme vergessen sein, noch für ewig verloren die Hoffnung der Sanftmütigen. 20 Steh auf, HERR! Nicht habe der Mensch die Oberhand; vor deinem Angesicht mögen gerichtet werden die Nationen! 21 Lege Furcht auf sie, HERR; mögen die Nationen wissen, dass sie Menschen sind! (Sela.)
