1 Jab Yahūsafat mar kar apne bāpdādā se jā milā to use Yarūshalam ke us hisse meṅ jo ‘Dāūd kā Shahr’ kahlātā hai ḳhāndānī qabr meṅ dafn kiyā gayā. Phir us kā beṭā Yahūrām taḳhtnashīn huā. 2 Yahūsafat ke bāqī beṭe Azariyāh, Yihiyel, Zakariyāh, Azariyāhū, Mīkāel aur Safatiyāh the. 3 Yahūsafat ne unheṅ bahut sonā-chāṅdī aur dīgar qīmtī chīzeṅ de kar Yahūdāh ke qilāband shahroṅ par muqarrar kiyā thā. Lekin Yahūrām ko us ne pahlauṭhā hone ke bāis apnā jānashīn banāyā thā. 4 Bādshāh banane ke bād jab Yahūdāh kī hukūmat mazbūtī se us ke hāth meṅ thī to Yahūrām ne apne tamām bhāiyoṅ ko Yahūdāh ke kuchh rāhnumāoṅ samet qatl kar diyā. 5 Yahūrām 32 sāl kī umr meṅ bādshāh banā, aur wuh Yarūshalam meṅ rah kar 8 sāl tak hukūmat kartā rahā. 6 Us kī shādī Isrāīl ke bādshāh Aḳhiyab kī beṭī se huī thī, aur wuh Isrāīl ke bādshāhoṅ aur ḳhāskar Aḳhiyab ke ḳhāndān ke bure namūne par chaltā rahā. Us kā chāl-chalan Rab ko nāpasand thā. 7 To bhī wuh Dāūd ke gharāne ko tabāh nahīṅ karnā chāhtā thā, kyoṅki us ne Dāūd se ahd bāndh kar wādā kiyā thā ki terā aur terī aulād kā charāġh hameshā tak jaltā rahegā. 8 Yahūrām kī hukūmat ke daurān Adomiyoṅ ne baġhāwat kī aur Yahūdāh kī hukūmat ko radd karke apnā bādshāh muqarrar kiyā. 9 Tab Yahūrām apne afsaroṅ aur tamām rathoṅ ko le kar un ke pās pahuṅchā. Jab jang chhiṛ gaī to Adomiyoṅ ne use aur us ke rathoṅ par muqarrar afsaroṅ ko gher liyā, lekin rāt ko bādshāh gherne wāloṅ kī safoṅ ko toṛne meṅ kāmyāb ho gayā. 10 To bhī Mulk-e-Adom āj tak dubārā Yahūdāh kī hukūmat ke taht nahīṅ āyā. Usī waqt Libnā Shahr bhī sarkash ho kar ḳhudmuḳhtār ho gayā. Yih sab kuchh is lie huā ki Yahūrām ne Rab apne bāpdādā ke Ḳhudā ko tark kar diyā thā, 11 yahāṅ tak ki us ne Yahūdāh ke pahāṛī ilāqe meṅ kaī ūṅchī jaghoṅ par mandir banwāe aur Yarūshalam ke bāshindoṅ ko Rab se bewafā ho jāne par uksāyā. Pūre Yahūdāh ko wuh butparastī kī ġhalat rāh par le āyā. 12 Tab Yahūrām ko Iliyās Nabī se ḳhat milā jis meṅ likhā thā, “Rab āp ke bāp Dāūd kā Ḳhudā farmātā hai, ‘Tū apne bāp Yahūsafat aur apne dādā Āsā Bādshāh ke achchhe namūne par nahīṅ chalā 13 balki Isrāīl ke bādshāhoṅ kī ġhalat rāhoṅ par. Bilkul Aḳhiyab ke ḳhāndān kī tarah tū Yarūshalam aur pūre Yahūdāh ke bāshindoṅ ko butparastī kī rāh par lāyā hai. Aur yih tere lie kāfī nahīṅ thā, balki tū ne apne sage bhāiyoṅ ko bhī jo tujh se behtar the qatl kar diyā. 14 Is lie Rab terī qaum, tere beṭoṅ aur terī bīwiyoṅ ko terī pūrī milkiyat samet baṛī musībat meṅ ḍālne ko hai. 15 Tū ḳhud bīmār ho jāegā. Lā'ilāj marz kī zad meṅ ā kar tujhe baṛī der tak taklīf hogī. Āḳhirkār terī antaṛiyāṅ jism se nikleṅgī.’” 16 Un dinoṅ meṅ Rab ne Filistiyoṅ aur Ethopiyā ke paṛos meṅ rahne wāle Arab qabīloṅ ko Yahūrām par hamlā karne kī tahrīk dī. 17 Yahūdāh meṅ ghus kar wuh Yarūshalam tak pahuṅch gae aur bādshāh ke mahal ko lūṭne meṅ kāmyāb hue. Tamām māl-o-asbāb ke alāwā unhoṅ ne bādshāh ke beṭoṅ aur bīwiyoṅ ko bhī chhīn liyā. Sirf sab se chhoṭā beṭā Yahuāḳhaz yānī Aḳhaziyāh bach niklā. 18 Is ke bād Rab kā ġhazab bādshāh par nāzil huā. Use lā'ilāj bīmārī lag gaī jis se us kī antaṛiyāṅ muta'assir huīṅ. 19 Bādshāh kī hālat bahut ḳharāb hotī gaī. Do sāl ke bād antaṛiyāṅ jism se nikal gaīṅ. Yahūrām shadīd dard kī hālat meṅ kūch kar gayā. Janāze par us kī qaum ne us ke ehtirām meṅ lakaṛī kā baṛā ḍher na jalāyā, go unhoṅ ne yih us ke bāpdādā ke lie kiyā thā. 20 Yahūrām 32 sāl kī umr meṅ bādshāh banā aur Yarūshalam meṅ rah kar 8 sāl tak hukūmat kartā rahā thā. Jab faut huā to kisī ko bhī afsos na huā. Use Yarūshalam Shahr ke us hisse meṅ dafn to kiyā gayā jo ‘Dāūd kā Shahr’ kahlātā hai, lekin shāhī qabroṅ meṅ nahīṅ.
