Hebrews 8 (AS21)
1 O ponto principal do que estamos dizendo é este: Temos um sumo sacerdote que se assentou à direita do trono da Majestade no céu, 2 ministro do santuário e do verdadeiro tabernáculo que o Senhor ergueu, não o homem. 3 Pois todo sumo sacerdote é constituído para apresentar ofertas e sacrifícios; por isso era necessário que este sumo sacerdote também tivesse alguma coisa a oferecer. 4 Se ele estivesse na terra nem seria sacerdote, uma vez que existem os que apresentam ofertas segundo a lei, 5 os quais servem naquilo que é figura e sombra das coisas celestiais, como Moisés foi avisado quando estava para construir o tabernáculo, porque lhe foi falado:Vê, faze conforme o modelo que te foi mostrado no monte. 6 Mas agora tanto ele alcançou ministério mais excelente, quanto é mediador de uma aliança melhor, firmada sobre melhores promessas. 7 Pois se aquela primeira aliança não tivesse defeito, nunca se teria buscado lugar para a segunda. 8 Porque ele diz, repreendendo-os:Dias virão, diz o Senhor, em que estabelecerei com a casa de Israel e com a casa de Judá uma nova aliança. 9 Não segundo a aliança que fiz com seus pais, no dia em que os tomei pela mão para tirá-los da terra do Egito; pois não permaneceram naquela minha aliança, e eu não atentei para eles, diz o Senhor. 10 Esta é a aliança que farei com a casa de Israel, depois daqueles dias, diz o Senhor. Porei as minhas leis na sua mente e as escreverei em seu coração. Eu lhes serei Deus, e eles me serão povo. 11 Ninguém terá de ensinar ao próximo, nem a seu irmão, dizendo: Conhece ao Senhor; porque todos me conhecerão, desde o menor até o maior deles. 12 Pois serei misericordioso para com suas obras más e não me lembrarei mais de seus pecados. 13 Ao dizer que esta aliança é nova, ele tornou antiquada a primeira. E o que se torna antiquado e envelhece, está perto de desaparecer.
