Hebrews 8 (BOVCB)
1 Chủ điểm của đề tài đang trình bày: Chúng ta có Thầy Thượng Tế vô cùng cao quý, tức Chúa Cứu Thế đang ngồi bên phải ngai Đức Chúa Trời uy nghiêm trên thiên đàng. 2 Ngài thi hành chức tế lễ tại Nơi Chí Thánh trong Đền Thờ thật, do chính Chúa dựng nên, không do loài người xây cất. 3 Nhiệm vụ các thầy thượng tế là hiến dâng lễ vật và sinh tế lên Đức Chúa Trời, nên Chúa Cứu Thế cũng đã hiến dâng sinh tế. 4 Nếu Chúa Cứu Thế còn ở trần gian, Ngài không thể giữ chức tế lễ ấy, vì tại đây đã có các thầy tế lễ được bổ nhiệm theo luật pháp Môi-se. 5 Họ chỉ phục vụ tại Đền Thờ trần gian, là mô hình của Đền Thờ thật trên trời. Vì khi Môi-se sắp dựng Đền Tạm, Đức Chúa Trời đã căn dặn: “Con nhớ làm mọi thứ đúng theo kiểu mẫu Ta cho con xem trên núi này.” 6 Chức vụ tế lễ của Chúa Giê-xu cao cả hơn chức vụ các thầy tế lễ kia vô cùng, chẳng khác nào giao ước thứ hai tốt đẹp hơn giao ước thứ nhất, vì được thiết lập trên những lời hứa vô cùng quý báu hơn và được chính Chúa Giê-xu làm trung gian giữa hai bên kết ước. 7 Nếu giao ước thứ nhất đã hoàn hảo, hẳn không cần giao ước thứ hai. 8 Nhưng Đức Chúa Trời đã khiển trách người Ít-ra-ên, Ngài phán:“Trong thời đại tương lai, Chúa Hằng Hữu phán,Sẽ đến ngày Ta lập giao ước mới với dân tộc Ít-ra-ên và Giu-đa. 9 Giao ước này sẽ khác với giao ướcTa đã lập với tổ tiên họkhi Ta cầm tay họvà dẫn họ ra khỏi Ai Cập.Họ đã bất trung với giao ước của Tavì vậy Ta lìa bỏ họ, Chúa Hằng Hữu phán vậy. 10 Nhưng đây là giao ước Ta sẽ lậpvới người Ít-ra-ên sau những ngày đó, Chúa Hằng Hữu phán:Ta sẽ ghi luật Ta trong trí họvà khắc vào tâm khảm họ.Ta sẽ làm Đức Chúa Trời của họvà họ sẽ làm dân Ta. 11 Đến thời kỳ ấy, không cần ai nhắc nhở dân Ta nhìn biết Ta vì tất cả mọi người, từ người nhỏ đến người lớn đều biết Ta cách đích thực,” 12 “Ta sẽ tha thứ gian ác họ, và Ta sẽ không bao giờ nhớ đến tội lỗi họ nữa.” 13 Giao ước này được Đức Chúa Trời gọi là giao ước “mới,” như thế, giao ước thứ nhất đã cũ rồi. Điều gì cũ kỹ, lỗi thời đều phải bị đào thải.
