Revelation 6 (AS21)
1 Vi quando o Cordeiro abriu um dos sete selos e ouvi um dos quatro seres viventes dizer com voz como de trovão: Vem! 2 Olhei e vi um cavalo branco, e seu cavaleiro segurava um arco. Foi-lhe dada uma coroa, e ele saiu como vencedor, decidido a vencer. 3 Quando ele abriu o segundo selo, ouvi o segundo ser vivente dizer: Vem! 4 Então saiu outro cavalo, um cavalo vermelho. Ao seu cavaleiro foi dado o poder de tirar a paz da terra, de modo que os homens matassem uns aos outros. Foi-lhe entregue uma grande espada. 5 Quando ele abriu o terceiro selo, ouvi o terceiro ser vivente dizer: Vem! Olhei e vi um cavalo preto, e seu cavaleiro tinha uma balança na mão. 6 Então ouvi uma voz entre os quatro seres viventes que dizia: Uma medida de trigo por um denário, três medidas de cevada por um denário, e não danifiques o azeite e o vinho. 7 Quando ele abriu o quarto selo, ouvi a voz do quarto ser vivente dizer: Vem! 8 Vi então um cavalo amarelo, e seu cavaleiro chamava-se Morte e o inferno o acompanhava. Foi-lhe dada autoridade sobre a quarta parte da terra, para matar à espada, pela fome, pela praga e pelos animais selvagens da terra. 9 Quando ele abriu o quinto selo, vi debaixo do altar as almas dos que haviam sido mortos por causa da palavra de Deus e do testemunho que deram. 10 Eles clamaram em alta voz, dizendo: Ó Soberano, santo e verdadeiro, até quando aguardarás para julgar os que habitam sobre a terra e vingar o nosso sangue? 11 Cada um deles recebeu túnicas brancas e lhes foi falado que repousassem ainda por um pouco mais de tempo, até que se completasse o número de seus conservos e seus irmãos que haveriam de ser mortos, assim como eles também haviam sido. 12 Vi quando ele abriu o sexto selo, e houve um grande terremoto. O sol escureceu como saco de cilício, e a lua toda tornou-se como sangue; 13 e as estrelas do céu caíram sobre a terra, como figos verdes derrubados da figueira por um vento forte. 14 O céu recolheu-se como um rolo e todos os montes e ilhas foram removidos de seus lugares. 15 Os reis da terra, os nobres, os chefes militares, os ricos, os poderosos, todo escravo e todo homem livre esconderam-se nas cavernas e nas rochas das montanhas. 16 E diziam aos montes e rochedos: Caí sobre nós e escondei-nos da face do que está assentado no trono e da ira do Cordeiro; 17 porque chegou o grande dia da ira deles! Quem poderá subsistir?
