Revelation 8 (AS21)
1 Quando ele abriu o sétimo selo, houve silêncio no céu cerca de meia hora. 2 Então vi os sete anjos que estavam em pé diante de Deus, e a eles foram dadas sete trombetas. 3 Veio outro anjo e colocou-se junto ao altar, segurando um incensário de ouro; foi-lhe dado muito incenso para que ele o oferecesse sobre o altar de ouro que está diante do trono, juntamente com as orações de todos os santos. 4 Da mão do anjo subiu, diante de Deus, a fumaça do incenso junto com as orações dos santos. 5 Em seguida, o anjo pegou o incensário, encheu-o com o fogo do altar e o lançou sobre a terra; e houve trovões, vozes, relâmpagos e terremoto. 6 Então os sete anjos, que estavam com as sete trombetas, prepararam-se para tocar. 7 O primeiro anjo tocou sua trombeta, e foram lançados na terra granizo e fogo misturado com sangue, e um terço da terra, um terço das florestas e toda a relva verde foram queimados. 8 O segundo anjo tocou sua trombeta, e foi lançado no mar algo como um grande monte em chamas, e um terço do mar transformou-se em sangue. 9 Um terço das criaturas do mar morreu; também foi destruído um terço dos navios. 10 O terceiro anjo tocou sua trombeta, e uma grande estrela, queimando como se fosse uma tocha, caiu do céu sobre um terço dos rios e sobre as fontes das águas. 11 O nome da estrela era Absinto. Um terço das águas tornou-se em absinto, e muitos homens morreram por causa das águas, pois haviam se tornado amargas. 12 O quarto anjo tocou sua trombeta, e foram feridos um terço do sol, um terço da lua e um terço das estrelas, para que um terço deles se escurecesse, e um terço do dia não brilhasse, assim como também um terço da noite. 13 Então olhei e ouvi uma águia, voando pelo meio do céu e dizendo em alta voz: Ai, ai, ai dos que habitam na terra, por causa dos toques das trombetas dos três anjos que ainda vão tocar!
