Pag-abot niya didto kang David miyukbo siya sa pagtahod kaniya. Miingon si David, “Ikaw diay si Mefiboshet!” Mitubag siya, “Oo, sir.” 7 Miingon si David kaniya, “Ayaw kahadlok, kay pakitaan ko gayod ikaw ug kaayo tungod ug alang sa imong amahan nga si Jonatan. Iuli ko kanimo ang tanang kayutaan sa imong lolo nga si Saul. Ug dili kay kana lang, kanunay ka nga mokaon uban kanako.” 8 Miyukbo si Mefiboshet ug miingon, “Kinsa ba ako nga imong hatagan ug pagtagad nga sama niini? Sama lang ako sa patay nga iro.” 9 Unya gipatawag sa hari si Ziba, nga sulugoon kaniadto ni Saul, ug giingnan, “Gihatag ko kang Mefiboshet, nga apo sa imong agalon nga si Saul, ang tanang kabtangan ni Saul ug sa iyang pamilya. 10 Ikaw, ang imong mga anak, ug ang imong mga sulugoon ang mag-uma sa yuta alang kaniya, ug dad-on mo kaniya ang mga abot, aron may pagkaon ang iyang panimalay. Apan si Mefiboshet kanunay nga mokaon uban kanako.” (Si Ziba may 15 ka mga anak nga lalaki ug 20 ka mga sulugoon.) 11 Miingon si Ziba sa hari, “Mahal nga Hari, tumanon ko ang bisan unsa nga imong isugo kanako nga imong sulugoon.” Sukad niadto, kanunay nang ikauban ni David si Mefiboshet sa pagpangaon ingon nga usa sa iyang mga anak. 12 May anak si Mefiboshet nga lalaki nga ang ngalan si Mica.
