1 En la mano derecha del que estaba sentado en el trono vi un rollo escrito por dentro y por fuera, sellado con siete sellos. 2 Vi a un ángel fuerte que proclamaba a gran voz: ¿Quién es digno de abrir el rollo y desatar sus sellos? 3 Nadie en el cielo, ni en la tierra, ni debajo de la tierra se atrevía a abrir el rollo ni mirarlo. 4 Yo lloraba mucho porque no se halló alguno digno de abrir el rollo, ni de leerlo ni de mirarlo. 5 Pero uno de los ancianos me dijo: ¡No llores! ¡Aquí está el León de la tribu de Judá, la raíz de David, Quien venció para abrir el rollo y sus siete sellos! 6 Miré y vi un Cordero como inmolado entre el trono, los cuatro seres vivientes y los ancianos. El Cordero estaba puesto en pie. Tenía siete cuernos y siete ojos, que son los espíritus de Dios enviados a toda la tierra. 7 El Cordero llegó y tomó el rollo de la mano derecha del que estaba sentado en el trono. 8 Cuando tomó el rollo, los cuatro seres vivientes y los 24 ancianos cayeron delante del Cordero. Cada uno tenía un arpa y tazones de oro llenos de incienso, que son las conversaciones de los santos con Dios. 9 Entonaban un cántico nuevo, que decía:¡Digno eres de tomar el rollo y de abrir sus sellosPorque fuiste inmolado!¡Con tu sangre compraste para Dios Personas de toda tribu, lengua, pueblo y nación! 10 ¡Los constituiste en un reino y sacerdotes para nuestro Dios,Y reinarán sobre la tierra! 11 Miré, y escuché una voz de muchos ángeles alrededor del trono, de los seres vivientes y de los ancianos. El número de ellos era miríadas de miríadas y millares de millares 12 quienes decían a gran voz:¡Digno es el Cordero inmolado de tomar el poder, riqueza, sabiduría, fortaleza, honor, gloria y alabanza! 13 A toda criatura en el cielo, en la tierra, debajo de la tierra, en el mar y a todas las cosas que están en ellos, escuché que decían:¡Alabanza, honra, gloria y soberanía al que está sentadoEn el trono, y al Cordero, por los siglos de los siglos! 14 Los cuatro seres vivientes decían: ¡Amén!Y los ancianos cayeron y adoraron.
