Romans 12 (AS21)
1 Portanto, irmãos, exorto-vos pelas compaixões de Deus que apresenteis o vosso corpo como sacrifício vivo, santo e agradável a Deus, que é o vosso culto racional. 2 E não vos amoldeis ao esquema deste mundo, mas sede transformados pela renovação da vossa mente, para que experimenteis qual seja a boa, agradável e perfeita vontade de Deus. 3 Porque pela graça que me foi dada, digo a cada um dentre vós que não pense de si mesmo mais do que convém; mas que pense de si com equilíbrio, conforme a medida da fé que Deus repartiu a cada um. 4 Pois assim como em um corpo temos muitos membros, e todos os membros não têm a mesma função, 5 assim também nós, embora muitos, somos um só corpo em Cristo e, individualmente, membros uns dos outros. 6 De modo que temos diferentes dons segundo a graça que nos foi dada: se é profecia, que seja de acordo com o padrão da fé; 7 se é serviço, que seja usado no serviço; se é ensino, que seja exercido no ensino; 8 ou quem encoraja, use o dom para isso; o que contribui, faça-o com generosidade; quem lidera, com zelo; o que usa de misericórdia, com alegria. 9 O amor seja sem fingimento. Odiai o mal e apegai-vos ao bem. 10 Amai-vos de coração uns aos outros com amor fraternal, preferindo-vos em honra uns aos outros. 11 Não sejais descuidados no zelo; sede fervorosos no espírito. Servi ao Senhor. 12 Alegrai-vos na esperança, sede pacientes na tribulação, perseverai na oração. 13 Socorrei os santos nas suas necessidades. Procurai ser hospitaleiros. 14 Abençoai os que vos perseguem; abençoai, e não amaldiçoeis. 15 Alegrai-vos com os que se alegram; chorai com os que choram. 16 Sede unânimes entre vós. Não sejais orgulhosos, mas prontos a acompanhar os humildes. Não sejais sábios aos vossos próprios olhos. 17 A ninguém devolvei mal por mal. Procurai fazer o que é certo diante de todos. 18 Se possível, no que depender de vós, vivei em paz com todos os homens. 19 Amados, não vos vingueis a vós mesmos, mas dai lugar à ira de Deus, pois está escrito:A vingança é minha; eu retribuirei, diz o Senhor. 20 Pelo contrário, se o teu inimigo tiver fome, dá-lhe de comer; se tiver sede, dá-lhe de beber; porque, se fizeres isso, amontoarás brasas sobre a cabeça dele. 21 Não te deixes vencer pelo mal, mas vence o mal com o bem.
